If I could do it all over again, I would go straight to Dave and his product.
Amazing support and uses quality parts.

Also plug and play is the way to go IMO.

My dealer price matched at 670 each.
I think most local dealers will work with you.
For me I wanted them to have to deal with sending back a headlight that was damaged from shipping.
I read a lot of story's about the headlight tabs being broken during shipping.

What option did you go with initially?

A forum member posted on TRS wire connection to avoid confusion with polarity, so there's that also. This harness can be purchased through other websites as well not only TRS. If your spending upward of $1400 on OEM headlights what's another $100 as its backed by TRS.

What does “backed by TRS” mean?

Are you saying it is best to go the TRS harness route?

A large number of users have reported reverse polarity on TRS's harness, that using a TRS's harness causes blown fuses. Even when we have notified them regarding this, they choose not to fix it. $100 for a "quality" harness...

Here’s a couple pics that shows the slight difference in color temp between the headlights and the OEM LED DRL fogs. It is noticeable but not too bad.

Thank for the comparison but what do you mean “OEM LED DRL fogs”?

Is this different than the oem led fogs offered by Toyota.

I think they’re the same. In those pics my fog lights are not on. That’s Just the DRL feature.

Are you sure they are not aftermarket? Here are the black bezel version of the OEM fogs.

Also, there is no OEM wiring to make just one part of the fog come one.

I guess mine are the “2n1 LED fogs”, a dealer/port installed add on, so perhaps OEM is the wrong way to describe them. They definitely came on my truck from the dealer.

I've lightly been through a few of these threads and can't quite figure this out. I bought OEM LED light for my Sport. I have two harnesses. One TRS and one I got off eBay. I plugged up the TRS harness and everything was working except the turn signal. Power is getting to it because it'll flash once and that's it. Other than that I can't figure out the issue. I haven't looked super deep into it, but trying to see if there's something I missed. Any ideas?

I know the TRS harness has some issues. Would that cause the problem? The eBay harness looks to be wired much differently.

Nevermind. Got it. I think. Forgot about my hidden resistor for the turn signal. Guess that was causing issues. It worked after I unplugged it. Thought that was the issue, but couldn't remember if I had used one. And if I did, where it was. Ebay harness wasn't working at all. TRS worked just fine.

Do you need the harness for all models? Just got a '21 TRD Off road and was wondering if it's applicable to newer models as well

There are only two types of headlights. Halogen and LED. If your truck came with LED you do not need a harness. If your truck came with halogen and you want LED then you need a harness.
