What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Curious to hear the results. Gonna dyno, or just "feel" it?

 

I'm just going to feel/watch it. Some people say it provides a minimal mileage improvement and a little acceleration boost. For $34 I figured I'd give it a try.

 

finally installed my freshly fully polished Andersen hitch. Had a good friend of mine put his skills on this hitch.

 

Also installed the Tufskins carbon fiber gas cap holder. Easy install - lol, looks and fits great!

Early Father’s Day, Anniversary and Christmas gifts: New TRD Pro wheels, black lugs, wrapped with 265/75r16 Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S tires.
…plus 1/4 inch strut spacers (from Supreme Suspensions) for a total of about 1 inch lift up front and 1/2 inch lift in rear, leaving only about 1/2 inch of rake (down from 1 inch), and the bed and the running boards are just about level.
The measured before and after from the bottom of the running board comes it to about 1 inch higher.

Today I painted the TPMS valve covers with High Heat Matte black.

I guess the only other mod needed would be a black exhaust tip, but I ain’t about to ask the wife for that…

P.S. You know it really changes the look of your truck, when you walk out of Lowe’s and (at first) you can’t find your truck in the lot, and when you get home, your neighbor asks if you bought a new truck.

Victory Molle Rack and mounted the Water port. Very nice fit on all.

 

Finally got a hold of my Softopper and threw it on and gave the truck a nice wash too!

 

TRD Lift Kit and oem tube steps. This - for the most part - completes my big mods for the truck….exactly 14 days into ownership.

 

And to round out the day, I added interior trim and hood scoop accents in Army Green from @TUFSKINZ . Easy install and a nice way to break up the lines a bit. I found that I needed to pull the hood scoop to apply those pieces - easy process except for the retaining clip that holds the back section of the scoop cover in place. You need to get both sides of the clip pushed in and then push up - took me a few tries to get it right.

 

So when we take my Father in law out with us, he likes to rest his arm on the armrest on the passenger rear door which I get. But there is a squeak/rattle that occurs when he does that. He doesn't hear well so I doubt he hears it but it drives me absolutely crazy while he is in the back seat. I just went outside and slightly pushed it in and out near the front of the armrest and it makes that sound. Has anyone had this issue and have any type of solution I could try?

 

Have him sit on the other side? (Just kidding, hope you find a solution)
