    So if it were for a grab handle why wouldn't they just NOT cut a hole in the headliner?

    Obviously it has something to do with the SIDE CURTAIN Airbags b/c it is only on truck with SIDE CURTAIN airbags. They just changed where they print it. on the older one it was printed on the headliner, newer ones are printed on the cover without being printed on the headliner.

    I work on cars for a living and can say that nothing is done without purpose. That cover more then likely keeps the headliner from blowing down and possibly injuring the occupant.

    Thats what I think. they don't bother me at all I saw them when I bought the truck. Thats the last time I ever gave them a thought. My 08 did not have SIDE CURTAIN airbags and I did not have these covers. Thats the only reason I ever noticed them

    so the purpose of these seems to be established. my question......where do i get one?? had my 2010 DC in the body shop for hail damage and noticed a week after i picked it up that its missing the exact piece discussed in this thread. it says SRS Curtain Airbag. Had 2 people at the dealer searching for it and still nothing. I need to call them back and see what they came up with but if anyone here has a part # that would be great.
