I'm just getting started on mine. Yesterday I peeled off the "too bright for me" TRD bed decals and replaced them with the more subtle matte black decals...and added a grey scale TRD grille badge (still not sure about the badge).




This morning I got the front windows tinted to match the factory rears and this afternoon I installed the tri-fold Lomax tonneau cover.

Me either but assuming so. I still think all you’d have to remove is the window control panel from the door itself, see how much room you have to figure out the thickness of foam needed.

I may give that a try first. I've never taken off the window control panel so I will look for a video on that so hopefully I don't break anything. Appreciate the tip.

Thanks for the link to the dashcam power connector. Ordered a dashcam last week and this will make the installation a lot easier.

 

Seat Jackers on both driver and passenger seats.

At first I was a little skeptical that they really made a difference. I came from a 1st gen so the 3rd gen seats are much more comfortable than my old truck. After talking to a couple of people, they really recommended them. I'm glad I did them. What a difference in the seats.

Added a redarc brake controller and installed the new retrax pro cover. I love the way both look. Adding in a gmrs radio soon, just waiting on the nms mount to show up so I have somewhere to put the antenna. Planning an epic camping trip from NH to Yellowstone this summer and picking up an a frame popup next week. I've never had a trailer with brakes before so I was excited to add a brake controller. Tough finding a place to mount the redarc controller in a 2017 trd sport access cab. Not much room that I could see.

The connectors are slightly shoddy, and the install info for them is a bunch of pics of the drivers side only. I’ve gone through and messed with each one, replaced a couple of fuses. I guess I can try to switch the high and low and see where that gets me.

I remember reading something about your same issue somewhere possibly in this thread. I think the high and low were crossed. Anyway, there was a gentleman from Tuscon, AZ I think that had his email address in this thread that makes custom harnesses if you want to try another vendor. @blaklabl would know how to contact him. Also a YouTube video that might help.

I got a smoking deal on a very lightly used bed cover on offerup for $450. Installed today and added the TRD cold intake. Also hit the 2k mile mark on the odometer.

 

$450 is a steal for that MX4. Nice find.
