Hello all, looking at getting another Taco, this time for my son. Anyone familiar with this Blue Ribbon Metallic Taco, supposedly in the ATX area before it came down to SAT. Thanks in advance

Good Morning ATX! Chores are done, time for a road trip!

 

Finally home in Lockhart. "Safe and Sound". Not only did the MAINT REQD light come on in Mason, as SOON as I left and was on my own on 87, the CHECK ENGINE light pops on too! That kicked the head unit to actually display the ENGINE symbol. So, I touched it, and it said CODE P101! That's helpful~! Google? Ah, MAF sensor issue! Maybe a little dusty? I drove home much more confident!

Was able to swap batteries before we crossed the river. Just kinda stuck the camera out the door and wasn't sure of it would turn out or not..

 

Checkin in!!! Been puttin in some work on my truck, been heads-down with the Tuning company the last few months! PowerThirst is spreading though! On about 200 trucks now, and about to start licensing to other tuners around the country who want to use it too. Pretty stoked tho, a ton of the gear I've ordered months ago is finally arriving! Got Dirt Kings Lower Control Arms in yesterday, and some BAMF Hangars and HD Shackles a few days earlier. CBI skids on the way, still no definite ETA. Now if only Apogee would start crankin on the bumper I want, I'll finally get a high-clearance bumper with BSM/radar support, and a rear tire swingout. They say it'll come, just no ETA on that either.

That's a fun drive! I think 2017 was the last time I did it with the Tacomaworld crew. Can't go wrong with BBQ from the original Coopers once you get out there!

Fun day!

 

Good to meet everyone yesterday, it was a bit dusty. Green Army Ranger just disappeared in the dust. My son was driving and had really good sunglasses so he could see better. The irony with the Dashcam doesn't look as bad but all I could see was the glint off the top edge of the cab.

Dash cam was running the whole trip but recorded 180 upside down. Oops.

 

I put my phone mount on front of the cam until the first stop!

 

Same...

 

I kept thinking "boy does Taco need a bath, but I'll wait until I get home"
