Do you have to trim all Dakars for the Tacoma like this or is it due to the specific Dakars ordered?

Was the LCA bolt all the way loose?

Are you positive the shaft was perfect lined up to go through the top hat? This part is pretty tricky to do by yourself.

Thats weird. This might be a horrible idea, I’m just spitballing, but what if you parked the truck under a structure or tree so it wouldn’t go up any higher? Support it with a piece of wood or steel so it don’t crush the roof lol

I mounted the shock into the lower control arm and use that to jack it up into the top hat my girlfriend Jacked and while I was guiding it up it barely push through and started lifting the truck not even enough to put a nut on it. The lower swing arm doesn’t just fall down the pins are all seized inside but I can push it down with my foot enough to get the shock passed it I guess that’s going to be next on the project list

The seized bolt might possibly be your issue. My truck lifted off the jack stands a little when I did mine, but not enough to cause concern.

Alls good. Spent last three months working on Brewton property (up for sale soon) and 79 square body. Turning key for first time on Monday.

Need some help. Im still getting driveline vibes since my conversion. Right now, I’m using a driveshaft from a 4x4 taco so I’m having to use a custom bracket I made. The carrier bearing sits about 2 inches back. When I go to the driveshaft shop to get it rebalanced, I need to get them to LENGTHEN the rear portion of driveshaft by 2 inches and SHORTEN the front portion by 2 inches, right?

blue is where the center support is
Green is the carrier bearing (aftermarket IEDLS)
Red is the bracket I made

Anybody know of any driveshaft spacers besides 4crawler? I think that’s why the rc has a vibration/grinding feeling going on.
