Finishing up my beige Dell sleeper build. I had a 98 Dell Dimension 4100 as a kid and learned how to use windows with Windows 98. And then XP with a ram upgrade. In middle school I thought it was pointless and dropped it off at a recycling center.

Last year a guy in Odessa had one listed for $80. I told him I’d pay $100 if he was ever in town to bring it with him. And he brought it by a week or so later. This is below market value at this point for these.

Only issues were the io cutout being too small and my power supply switch was covered by a brace. Took a grinder and dremel to it and everything else was bolt in. Had to buy a beige disc drive faceplate and get creative to add USB 3.0 without cutting things up. The old disc drives were IDE and adapters to SATA aren’t a viable option. Just needs a front high airflow intake fan and a slight modification to the front panel button connector.

    i7 6700K
    16GB DDR4
    GTX 1070 Reference blower card.
    Noctua 2x90mm heatsink
    1TB M.2 boot drive
    Noctua 80mm exhaust
2x2TB hard drive in the 3.5 bays.

Bought a suspension book that came with this bumper sticker. I think I'll put it up in my office at work.

While I'm not planning to build an air suspension, the book is rich with information that has been helping me build a smooth floating suspension on the 100.

One nice thing about renting.... Watching the landlord's gardener deal with the huge pepper tree in our front yard that desperately needs trimmed but also houses 50,000 bees. I wanted none of that

    Wait what? A Dakota convertible?

Just looked it up, for some reason was imagining a late 90s Dakota convertible lol. Looks like it was one of the early sport models. Pretty cool. Can't say I've ever seen one before

Yea Dakota sport. Interesting thing… makes 0 sense. But hey, it’s unique and still the only one I’ve ever seen on the road

Yup, it's ready for its next owner though. I really have a bug up my but about building something American, never done that for myself. Working on the Chevelles and the Suburban my buddy has made me want to get one. Currently eyeing a 66 Chevelle El Camino

Resto mod with a modern fuel injected V8?

    Or big block carb'd?

I had a '74 El Camino some years back I helped my uncle work on, only to buy it for cheap cause he needed money.

Had a brand new paintjob, completely factory looking, down to the rally wheels. Had a nice blueprinted 350 with 400 cam in it that he dumped money into.

Same uncle that had a super clean CST10; that truck he actually made out like a bandit only to buy a brand new Honda Accord in cash
