    exactly. and only shutting off the same 4 out of the 8 cylinders while driving and not expecting uneven wear and failures? hearing about them eating oil like its their job makes me worry. but hell im sseing a bunch of used ones with 200k miles so i dont know how hit or miss it is.

    Chevy let me use one of there 4,6,8 Cadillacs waaaay back in the day. Stopped payment about 8 months after I bought it but never had a chance to drive it. Worse part was I had to go to a bigger city to get it serviced. After month 11, they bought it back & gave up.

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    the auto start/stop in the 15+ F150's is easily removed a number of ways. had it in my '17 2.7L F150 and it wasn't bad. All about the gas mileage. I'd buy the extended w/ it if I had one w/ it.

    I see it all the time at railway crossings. Train goes by & Folks hittin’ the Loud peddle just to find its shut itself off. Then that look of panic, haha.

    they say it does, but w/ the 2.7, i consistently had 21+mpg. i've been driving my 5.0L for ~3 years now and w/ the intake, exhaust, tune, i'm usually ~18+mpg.

    i know they screwed up the 5.0L in 18 when they changed/added the auto start/stop to it. it was burning oil and they were replacing blocks at first. then they were supposedly fixing it w/ some computer changes.

    My parents had a 1995 suburban 2500 with 454. They loved it. I have a 2014 Sequoia Platinum. I am a huge fan of sequoias. Sequoia Pulled the boat easily, tons of power, auto leveling air ride is very handy, and enough room for storage in the back even with four kids in car seats

    The guy from before left the "hot start" capacitor in. He used it to try and jump the compressor when the compressor was out.
    Simple fix, just pulled it.
