Looks like some pretty good storms coming our way so plans of cleaning up the truck just got shot down. Guess I'll find some inside stuff to do.

Wife and I heading out to spend the day with good friends. Dinner then just hang out. Couple cigars and a few brewski’s and great friends. Don’t get much better.

Hope you all have a dry day! Tacoma and Camry are tucked in the garage. We had a pretty good hail storm around this time last year...

 

Does anyone need/want a stock 3rd gen exhaust(catback portion). It was cut at the muffler for easier removal but other then that it is in great shape. Only on for 25,000 miles. Just need it gone. Taking up space.

 

its always a bummer when you have to pack and leave camp. I'm usually up 1 or 2 times a month but with the knee and elbow problem made it rough to do that for the past 8 months. got out for a little native brookie fishing too, also had 2 big bull elk coming into camp last night when we were out by the fire. It was a great weekend and just what need to recharge

 

If that's what you want and dream of I'd say go for it.

Sounds like a chance to start your dream early. Company pays moving expense. Not knowing your line of work I guess it might depend on what the job prospects there for you would be.

 

couple of pics off the game cam up at camp since the last time I could check it. Got one of asome bobcats, bears and nice buck but there was 4300 pics so not sure if I'll find the for awhile

Evening PA

Rain cleared off after lunch so I decided to go out, despite being a little wet. Finally got the shrubs trimmed; they were in dire need.

Was early enough I said the heck with it, lets clean up the truck!

It definitely needed an iron decon; the entire truck was "bleeding" like this!



So I've always used waxes and sealants that you applied by hand or DA until recently. Tried the Turtle Wax Ceramic spray and I was definitely impressed. It lasted through winter and was still somewhat beading. The truck is garaged, so that does help a good bit. Been hearing good things about Griot's version so I decided to try it!

This was the after. White is hard to really show, so it's the best I can do. Gonna apply another coat tomorrow. Just one coat and it bumped the gloss up. What I like is you can apply it over the trim and plastic and not mess it up, rather you're protecting it.



These products are not intended to replace an actual ceramic coating, but it's easy enough to do every so often.

 

What product do you use for the iron decon? Does it strip the wax also?
