So how come when I emailed them last week about my 07 DC sport they came back with a price of $799USD or $999USD with contrast stitch and two tone?

I told them I want to do the install myself too so that should be just the kit price. I've got a wholesale hookup with a local fabric/upholstery supplier so I'm going to look around for someone nearby who can sew and see if I can get some made up for less than a grand.

I hate how easy the stock fabric stains, my truck's a work truck/daily driver so it's got to look good and stay clean with dirty work clothes, sawdust, tools, dog, etc in it. I liked the wet okole's but I read the short dog hair sticks to them and for the price I'd rather do heated leather. Especially in black/grey two tone with rad red stitching and matching elbow pads and console top.

Where did the seat heater's come from too? I found this link, never ordered from them but $65/seat:

The kit Homer and I used came off of the company's clearance list, and you are pretty much limited to what they have on that list in order to get the lower price. Also, the prices we got were like 3-4 months ago, and they may not be offering that deal any more. However, I would CALL them and specifically ask the salesperson to look on their clearance list. I seem to recall being quoted the higher prices first, then getting the lower price once I told them I wanted the clearance kit.

From what I saw a few months ago, there were not many (if any) two-tone, contrast-stitched kits on that list.

I will say, that unless you have a KILLER hook up on upholstery, you will NOT be able to find a good custom kit for less than $1000. I spent alot of time shopping upholstery for 3 different cars, and this is the best deal I have ever seen or heard of.

I have a Golden Retriever that rides in the back seat fairly often. The leather holds up against paws/nails just fine, and hair just brushes or vacuums right out. You can't tell that there has been a dog riding back there. I think that answers the question you asked.

6 months after the install, I finally got around to taking some pics of the seats. I went with the light grey leather.

    IMG_0353_6f2cead18af3c831a5aded3b555b536b95c828e5.jpg

^^See how the seatbelt looks kind of brownish? The cloth matched that when I got the truck. Pretty gross.

    IMG_0350_5b1379e091eace6f3099fe6065287d87598beae1.jpg

I need to redo the door arm rests. I tried to get fancy and use the old cloth as a "pad" under the leather. Glue does not stick to dirty, oily fabric... found out that little tidbit the hard way.

The install isn't 100% perfect...maybe 95% perfect. There are a couple of small wrinkles on the middle of the driver's side seat back where I probably didn't get the metal rod hog ringed in tight enough. Overall, though, I'm pretty happy with it... it IS the first time I've ever attempted reupholstering anything.
