My truck is 4 years old, I don't drive it hard or off road it.
    How is this acceptable?
Dealer won't replace them, even when it was under warranty (Guelph Toyota).
Anyway, does anyone know what spring I can use to replace them? Don't want a lift or different performance. Just want it back on the road again.
I can't find an OEM part number and the dealer wanted about $1500 to replace them.
    Thanks!!

Did you not look at your spindles, rotors, uca's, lca's cam bolts, frame and more?

Looks like you completely neglected to help your vehicle and just let things waste to rust.

He bought a TRD Pro and doesn’t off-road. I don’t think those were priorities.

In defence of OP, once the water gets under that cheap red plastic coating on those springs, no amount of cleaning or care would have saved them.

Also, anyone blaming a Tacoma owner for rust on the chassis, needs to read their history books. Toyota has quite purposefully screwed over legions of people by failing to apply a quality coating to their chassis components for decades.

Why would their springs be any different?

The amount of rust on OPs spindles and frame welds is the same as most new Tacos sitting on the lot.

I would push hard for warranty. Unless they can show you in the manual where you were supposed to be tooth-brushing your fancy red springs to prevent catastrophic failure from rust.

This is total BS and I would be pissed off.

Don’t know if Eibach sells the coil direct to owners but it’s worth asking since they’re the ones that manufacture the pro coils. You could also call Toytec, OME, etc and see what coils they have that would be comparable. I know some of these companies sell replacement coils for the Pro coil overs to provide lift but you may be able to find a very similar replacement for what you have. Seems silly to replace the entire coil over if the shocks themselves are still ok. But, the shocks are probably due for service.

Can we talk for a minute about the amount of corrosion on your suspension though? It looks to me like you live in a state that salts roads heavily in the winter and don’t ever rinse it off your suspension components. You’re really going to need to examine everything closely and see what else may need replacement. And moving forward you’ll need to take better care of the vehicle...fluid film, regular wash, etc. I’m terrified to know what your frame looks like.

Because toyota outsources the pro suspension to to a quality 3rd party.

OP maybe eibach can help. They have a thread on here for a pro suspension upgrade, but they probably have good insight on to stock replacement, that truck does look beat to fuck though lol

for no particular reason(I'm lying here, lol) I'd want to see the engine bay
man that's a lot of rust

better yet for my inquisitive mind, pics of the entire truck. Has the rust gotten to the body, doors, fenders, tailgate, etc.? Quite surprised no one commenting that this is a Friday post

Here is my question: regardless of the condition of the rest of the truck, what was OP supposed to do to maintain these springs? Take them out once a year and dip them in butter? Clearly, regardless of fluid film or whatnot, the coating on those springs failed and they are near impossible to clean.

Unfortunately, that is 100% owner neglect and not a warranty issue. You dont have to be "tooth-brushing your fancy red springs" to prevent them from rusting. Just washing it and rinsing the salt off on a regular basis will prevent this.

Sorry to say OP but you could have addressed this long ago, when the rust began. Not let it completely penetrate the metal. Agree with the majority here that this is on you, not Toyota. Move somewhere without snow. Then you won't have to deal with rust! :D

In Canada, maybe. Tacomas rust. Buying one in Canada is asking for it.
