All SR5s come with H-keys (traditional). Only TRD OR, Sport & Limiteds come with push start

Why pay more fo something I don't like or want?

I don't think it should be that difficult to get a manual seat. Toyota markets the TRD OR as an adventure ready vehicle. I don't need a power seat to go on an adventure.

What happens to that power seat when the driver takes on a water crossing, and the water enters the cab at a level above the bottom of the seat?

Manual seats fit my needs just fine.

If you don't like it don't buy it, or go ahead a truck prior to 2020. Seems like what you want is a basic Sr trim truck.

If you're doing water crossings that deep, you need to put a lot more work into a truck than driving off the lot to the creek in any model.

This would be an operator error situation. I could forget to put up the windows during a thunderstorm.

Understandable but if you get that much rain with the windows down your seat sensor is fried regardless of trim. I get it, new trucks are not cheap purchases.

The electric seat addresses one of the Taco’s weaknesses by improving and expanding the range of seating positions. It is a welcome improvement, not a gimmicky high-profit option.

I’m sure you could find a manual seat assembly and swap out the electric one if you’re serious.

Every connector and computer lower than that is shot. But hey, you will be able to manually adjust your seat while waiting for a tow truck.

I get the point you are trying to make, but it seems like an odd hill to die on, but you do you.

I just want a normal seat in my midsize Toyota pick up.

I find it an inconvenience when you drop something between the seat and console. Or under or behind the seat when the entire seat is powered. Same with cleaning and vacuuming the interior. The manual seat is better at making those tasks easier.

That 44K is almost 8k in todays dollars more than I paid for my OR.
I completely understand, my truck has no power seats and it's nice to have the seat actually move when you need it to. My wife is short and every time I go to drive her Rav with power seats, I gotta stand there and wait for the seat to slowly work it's way back. I hate it. But I realize it's not something I am probably going to be able to avoid at some point.

Haha EXACT same here. Learned after the 2nd or 3rd time to hit the memory button for my setting before committing to sitting down. Felt like I was in a Mercury capsule initially.

If the only option is power seat, so be it.
I think it's nice to rearch down pull up on that bar under the seat and slide the seat back or forward. Same with the lever for the seat back for reclining or sitting in a more up right position.

When ever I drive for an extended period of time. I adjust the seat quite frequently. The manual seat allows me to find a comfortable position then adjust the seat around that position. Power seats do not allow that.

Let's apply the power seat to a BEV. I don't want to waste battery power, which will no matter how insignificant, affect the vehicles range - on a power seat, or any other unnecessary powered features that can otherwise operate manually.

No memory option on the Rav4 SE. Trust me, I noticed that when she was shopping lol.

Can't say I don't agree about not wanting power stuff..I'm the only one who drives my truck so pointless.

Wife's 2014 Rav4 has a power seat I think..but at least the back and forth is manual, fine with me b/c that's all I ever need to move to drive it.
