You will pay more for a new vehicle.
I can sell my Tundra for more than I paid for it 2 1/2 years and 40K miles ago. The catch is a replacement is 6K more than it was 2 1/2 years ago so it's a push.
Only way to win is sell and don't replace for a few years, or replace with a 1998 beater.

Well, replacing with a non truck for commute purposes, will replaced my other leased vehicle with another truck in a year and a half

If you get new or late model used you will be overpaying for those vehicles too. The only win is to wait.
No different than housing or stock market. Sell at high... you will have to pay high.

the catch is. YOU won't find another good truck. Unless you buy a 1992, or younger Toyota PU

the catch is that they are slow, carmax you can get it done in store and get paid usually less than 2 hours.
with vroom, it's more like a week or more, they will need to fedex you documents to sign and you have to mail them back, and then they schedule someone to pick up your vehicle, and finally you'll wait a couple of days to get paid

And their contract states they can change the agreed upon price AFTER you have handed them the keys. I would never do a deal like that.
