Just wrapped up the most $$$ ride of Wasatch Crest in my time here in Utah. @ginseng27 tagged along plus another buddy, then picked up a stranger that rode with us. He was from Canada and ended up being a great riding partner as well. Damn fine way to spend my 29th Bday!

That would have been the right timeframe. My wife drove me and a buddy up, leaving our house around 9am. He was on a silver Knolly. Here's my photo at the top of Puke Hill. The shadows look about the same as yours.

My green hardtail was sorta noticeable but our canadian hitchhiker's maple syrup accent and barney purple norco were the big giveaways.

Such a fun ride going up there. Very pretty too.

Huh. We totally probably rode by each other without realizing it. whoops.

yeah everyone. It's the OP's birthday! Happy birthday @Gunshot-6A ! but yeah, the ride was awesome per the usual. Some of the previously blown out corners were rebuilt and fixed so it was fun to ride through.

It's always awesome to get up high, but the lack of moisture is seriously alarming!

It's August riding conditions on early June.

Thanks, I have three Thule 821mounts (low riders) bolted to the lid, 2 inch bolts, large washers to reduce flex, nyloc lock nuts inside the lid to keep bolts tight and a bead of silicon around the base of the bracket keeps it all watertight. The UWS lid is actually an inch thick.

Important installation tip, check for clearance.
    20160228_133102.jpg

The mounts also act as an anchor for my cargo net when I'm not hauling the bikes

yeah. This year's gonna be bad. severe drought. low water in the reservoirs. loads more people out and about than before. There's quite a few fires listed as active already.

Much as I love a campfire this isn’t the year for it, at least not in this neck of the woods. Not sure of the cause but watched a chopper dipping from Stafford lake while we were golfing at Indian Valley and not 5 miles from where we had ridden Big Rock trail 2 days before. A few retardant drops by twin props as well had it snuffed pretty quickly thank goodness.
