I’m hoping there’s some stuff like this fairly close to Reno. I’ll have to find a few and take note of them for once I’m out there. All the offroad trails around me right now is just desert with cactus and rocks. Looking forward to not having to drive 2 and a half hours to see some green and a hint of water.

When GME moons maybe I’ll find a way to move for the summer. 114 is not okay this early in the summer. Cmon GME.

Anyone have predictions on what news we’re gonna find out tomorrow about the 5 million shares? I’m really hoping they have already been sold.

Just hit @kairo up when you get out there. If you want to get away for the weekend Bishop is only a 3.5 hour drive south.

I can get you to green and water within an hour. Granted the water might be low, but it's there.

Wanna spend 12 hours on dirt roads and never see a building or pavement? We can do that too

Bishop guy got that good alpine Sierra Nevadas. We have to make due with our lower elevation Sierras here, but there's plenty to explore.

The 12 hour dirt road drive doesn't get you a lot of trees, but I know enough spots and trails within 60 miles of home to spend days in the Sierras if you take your time and not see much twice. Unfortunately it's all in cali, so the fun guns have to stay at home.

We did 50 miles offroad today and basically just a big loop through the pine trees

On one side of the valley. Everyone forgets I've got the White Mountains on the other side of the valley. Basically, if I point it East or West, I can be up to 10000' in 12 miles or less. lol

Tons of good little trails just in the Boca area. I spent a lot of time finding good party spots in high school.

Your also an hour from the Rubicon. If I was an hour from the Rubi I'd be running it a lot more then twice a year. lol

2 hours give or take, but your point still stands.

And I'm not thrashing my '20 over the rubi.

I should build another old CJ7

Took my 16 out there and moonrocks. I found out real quick why skids were needed. Its not fun being worried about messing up a daily.

I've destroyed more than a couple jeep and truck parts at moonrocks over the years.

I can hit that area from a flat high speed dirt run without ever going near any of the reno paved roads

    Yes it is, at withdrawal.

Tax free contributions assist with larger contribution sums, thereby helping sequence of returns work for you (assuming your investment choices appreciate). The tax is deferred to later in life, not eliminated.

I'm 37. I do it primarily to allow for optimized rebalancing. Per-check contributions are small. The covid dip lasted a couple weeks near the bottom. Had I not been able to rebalance 10s of thousands out of gold and bonds my returns on the recovery would've been much smaller.

Its less about age and more about your goals. My wife and I are semi-retired young and we want to stay that way. Thus we are a little more protective of our nest egg than your typical 30somethings who expect to work another 30+ years no matter what their investments do.

    *Took back.

Reverse repo is banks parking cash at the Fed in exchange for treasuries, aka the real cash, for collateral use in balancing their books.

    @theesotericone

Easier to build an old jeep or 22re Toyota?

I can get a CJ7 with a 304 v8 and throw tons under it and run anything in the US with 42s
