    Hello all,

Obviously new to Tacoma World, however, I've been reading different threads over the past couple of weeks and decided to go ahead and join.

I've found useful information on this site and glad I found it.

One thing that I haven't been able to put my finger on is "TSB".

I know it refers to 'Tacoma Service Bulletin' but still not quite sure as to what that may exactly be.

If someone could answer this for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks!

Technical service bulletin , these are known issues that don't constitute a recall , but Toyota posts a fix for them to their service departments , if you come in complaining of an issue with your truck that matches a TSB , the work will be covered under your warranty .

    Welcome Max

    Ok, cool deal.
I was thinking it was something like a recall, and now know it's close, but not quite.
    Thanks OZ-T.

I noticed that there was or were TSB(s) for rear leaf springs on the late model Tacomas. Are they bad? make for a stiff ride? make noise?
    Just curious to find out.
I'm looking to get a new Tacoma here in the next couple of months and was wondering what was up with 'em.

    You're welcome .

The leaf spring TSB is to address the issue of the leaf springs bottoming out under load . The Canadian trucks come stock with a 4 leaf spring pack . The American trucks come stock with a 3 leaf pack , presumably to soften the ride . The leaf spring TSB replaces the 3 leaf pack with the 4 leaf pack to increase the trucks ability to carry loads , this will slightly stiffen the ride over the US stock 3 leaf pack , but you can carry loads ( or passengers for the DC ) without hitting the bumpstops .

    Hope that helps . :)

or, in the case of Tacomaworld maybe it should be reworded to 'buying time.'

Perhaps it was a result of anxiety. (Can't believe it took me that long to think of that!)

Did you hear where Fury Road was pushed back to 2012 because of f**king rain in the outback making things too green?
