I just wish I could buy a brand new Suzuki Jimny.

The Maverick is pretty much exactly what I don't want in a truck.

Count me in for that (except the fake wood trim). I like that it makes the Maverick look big

My wife drives a 23 year old Suzuki X90 and the thing is dead solid reliable.

Don't get me even started on the Jimny, that thing is too awesome to be sold here, sadly. North America gets bloated cush mobiles.

I'd hardly call something with a 159 hp and max tow rating of 3500 pounds a truck. But hey, it fits your "truck" needs. Much like this will suit a lot of peoples realistic needs.

You left out my 6ft bed, 8 ft with my bed extender. And my 430 rear end which gives me very good torque starting out pulling any payload. And my cast iron block known for reliability. And my 1500 lb payload capacity. Not everyone tows you know, I put my load in the bed because it’s big enough. Yep, it’s a truck.

Your specs buttercup? Bed length? Rear end gear ratio? Door sticker payload rating? Lol :D

Ford can't produce anything right now but has many new models. Bout right for the times.

    I could deal with a Rav/ute.

I assume you're trolling when posting things like "very good starting tq" from a 4 cylinder taco. Everything you're bragging about can be done by any sedan with a small trailer. Maybe that would have suited you better since you don't do truck things like tow stuff?

See how dumb it is telling people what makes a truck a truck? I'm sure that's all lost on you though cause you have the perfect powerhouse, iron blocked, 6 footed bed, base taco.

It's too bad Canada's market is essentially the size of one US state. Suzuki stuck around a bit longer here before deciding it wasn't worthwhile. On that note, The Maverick will likely outsell the Tacoma here. We like inexpensive, compact vehicles.

Whats there to put up or shut up about? Simply providing another point of view outside of your vary narrow one of what makes a truck a truck. But if it really matters to you that much I have a 5 foot bed OR with measly 3.91 gears. So I guess you and every pool boy have a better "truck" than me.

Never thought I'd see the day that someone with a 4 banger taco would be gatekeeping trucks. :der:

Your truck - 5ft bed, 3.91 rear end, and you left out your payload which is maybe 1100 pounds, possibly less than 1000 lbs.
Mine- 6 ft bed, 4:30 rear end, 1500 lb payload.
Bottom line you have no grounds to stand on with your snarky original post, and that’s my point:
“I'd hardly call something with a 159 hp and max tow rating of 3500 pounds a truck. But hey, it fitsyour "truck" needs. Much like this will suit a lot of peoples realistic needs.”
    Yep, I have a truck. :D

I could go buy a $70k 1 ton diesel and have more truck than both of you. And also have way more truck than I’ll ever need (or most others). Always need vs want. Most people don’t actually need what they have when it comes to truck specs.

You can get a F450 diesel 4x4 DRW single cab fleetside for under 60k. That's probably the most truck you can get for the money.

My old T100 has 180hp, a 6 foot bed, 2200 pounds payload capacity and 5500 pound towing capacity, and only weighs 3500 pounds.

None of that matters compared to having 4 feet between the wheel wells. That's far more useful. Plus, you can still get T100s a bit cheaper than a first gen tacoma but they are a bit rarer.

Agreed. Maybe a combination of road salt, expensive gasoline, higher purchase cost than the same vehicle in the US, lower average income than in the US...

Come on girls. I need a "truck" and your truck is too small gets old. This is a truck, anything less is just a toy and completely useless to the . . . . . . . . . . . . . fucking mining industry.

Oh, you don't own a mine and need that big of a truck? Hmmm, maybe different people need/want different things.

    How much is that?

If it's price tag is comparable to a TRD Pro? It's worth consideration. :D

Not sure about the price, but it will fit 35's without trimming. :rimshot:

Real trucks have built in stairs to access the cab.
