This was my first thought, and definitely going to try it. I'm not tapping the Ti(big nope), so that will be clearance and delrin only threaded. Main worry here is the delrin lifts away and creates a gap due to the pressure from the set screw. At a smaller diameter like this, though ... it'll probably be strong enough. It's not an idiot proof solution by any means, but will be fine for those who understand physics.

Thread milling the Ti is the obvious solution, theoretically ... but the backlash compensation on my budget mill is pretty jarring and would break such a small tool.

Tough to do on a BP, but form taps are your friend in shitty materials. Threaded Delrin is a no-go IMHO, especially in small pitch. Anything more than the right torque and the therads are gone.

A form tap in Ti could work if I had a rigid tapping feature, but no spindle encoder on my mill unfortunately and doing it by hand is like trying to make "fetch" happen.

4-40 would strip fairly easy, but 6-32 is pretty strong in Delrin believe it or not. V2 collars have a 10-32 and to my knowledge not 1 has been stripped. I'm using 6-32 for the V3 core to hold the collar cover, absolutely no worries.

Form taps can work with hand feed or a floating holder since they will self feed once started, but it's definitely not ideal.

Yeah, if I had to do that I'd just not make them. If the clearance hole idea doesn't work out it's back to the drawing board.

I need that new HAAS, solves every issue and even gives me options.

We need the handbrake. I am not aware of any aftermarket company who makes one. Plus you will use it every time you drive your truck especially for us manual guys. Can't say that about the radio knobs. haha

Plus you don't need to make different version as I believe it is the same for both manual and auto

You could put a hidden dickbutt on the bottom of every handbrake you make. That way every time someone uses it, they finger your dickbutt. Just saying....

Well you couldn't have exposed dickbutts on radio knobs. How would you explain that to the children?

I got around to installing it today. So easy that even a guy with a broken collarbone can do it! Instead of using the included zip ties I used thread, overlapped it a bunch of times, then triple knotted it. I did that to avoid any sort of bulge from the zip tie.

Um, I’d like to to sign up for the ti radio knobs. It is an actual need, not just a want. Where am I am signing?

Just send a kidney or appendage to @7r41lbr34k3r . That will reserve your spot.
