My LS400 gets the same smell on hot summer days. It's nostalgic.

Well it's been one week since I could control the left side of my face. Steroid pills are out, so hopefully this shit comes around soon. Doc said up to 6wks to possibly get back to normal.

Anyone know of a shop that can do a cab mount chop that is located North of Seattle? I posted in the Whatcom/Skagit thread but no feedback yet.

Otherwise I may just drive all the way down to Mule...

If my lift wasn’t taken up right now I’d offer to do it for less than whatever Mule would charge

When does your lift open up? I've got the pre-cut plates. I've never welded before and don't think my truck frame is the best place to start haha

@Usethe2nd ever worked on a mid 80s Chevy dumptruck? The like Chevy C70 think they are called. Bit diesel engine with 10 speed transmission.

Got one in my back yard that's stuck in reverse. Clutch in it'll start fine but in neutral on the shifter stiff goes in reverse. Put it in any gear and it won't move and dies like it's in two gears (reverse and a forward).

Leaning towards it being a broken....man name escape me...part that engages each gear

Yep, can you feel the gears engage properly?

It feels like it for 3-4-5. First goes in ok but is a bit odd to get out. Like you can't just push straight forward and have to push the stick towards the passenger then push up.

It's not mine but a contractors. Was just taking a look. They also said it was low on fluid and filled the damn thing to the brim. Like all the way to the top of the shifter. Otherwise I'd just pull the top off and look but I'm not draining oil and crap too

Ya you’ll have to pull the shifter off, it’s going to probably be a shift rail or fork that’s busted. If you know what trans it it you could narrow the issue down to either a rail or fork by having a exploded view and know what gears you can and can’t engage

either that or the gears on the main shaft or counter shaft are screwed up

I pulled the shifter off just not the part right below it that has the forks. It's as far as I'm going since it'll have to get taken to a shop anyways. I looked for the trans tag but a few years of cakes on dort made me stop lol.

Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something stupid. Figured shift rail or the slider between gears. But not my problem anymore :)
