    This one was done a few years ago, spent a ton of money to get it done right, had most of the dirt brought in. The guy who owns it designed it and did most of the work, won a engineering award and all kinds of crap. Its a cool house, even has 2 floors below the ground, I had to ask him if I could drive up it, he laughed and said no, haha.

    Sounds like someone just dug into the hill w/out compacting the soil. I don't know if this house pictured is on a flat slab or is built off a basement? From the sounds of it,its just going to keep on getting worse. I bet if you were to walk through the home you would see all kinds of stress fractures. Sound to me like it is settling quite a bit and someone did not know how to use a level properly.
