I want to put the squadron amber (WC?) sports in my OEM fog pockets. Is that legal?

Was the third brake light hard to wire up?
    Did you need a relay?

Not if you turn them on while driving on a roadway. If you only use them offroad then go for it.

I do very little off-roading, but I want a bright and much better light for inclement weather. Snow and fog . The usual. BD has a great warranty as well. Thoughts?
Thanks Dave and whoever has opinions.

Go with the SAE version if you're planning on using them on public roads.

UCA's, Deaver leafs, 17x9 Black Rhyno Warlords, 33" Toyo M/T's, Metal Tech rear bumper, Westin HDX drop steps with Bullet Liner coating, K&N CAI, Baja Designs fog pods, Rigid Midnight addition 3" pod ditch lights. Cali Raised brackets and 32" behind the grill mounted light bar, Southern Style Offroad Lopro Stage II front bumper, Warn winch, FACTOR 55 Ultra Hook, FACTOR 55 Hawes Fairleed, full debadge, Cosmetic goodies such as 15% carbon tint, matte black in channel rain guards, interior LED's, Teton Workshop shift knob, Inferno vinyl detailing on the interior, Cali Raised multi rocker switch cubby insert with Mc Tuning LED switches and a few other mods I've probably left out.
Here in Oregon its not an issue passing inspection with aftermarket lights whether for on or off road. I have the Squadron Sports in the fog pods and live in a rural area 8 miles from the nearest town so I do use them on road when there's no on coming traffic. The light projects everywhere including the tops of the trees which allows me to see everything from deer crossing the road to owls munching on recently caught prey.

Like @MountainManGuy said If you want to use them all the time go SAE. If not and you want a tone of light everywhere than go Sport or Pro and light it up

I love BD. I've got probably $7k worth of BD lights on my truck and I wouldn't trade them for any other maker. With that said, look at Diode Dynamics for a badass SAE fog light. You can get their sport, pro or max depending on your budget and each line blows BD out of the water for a SAE compliant light. I've got their Max and it's insane how much light comes out in a very focused pattern. If you don't care about SAE compliance then just pick the BD light that fits your budget.

It was simple actually. I did not need a relay. That’s only for the third gens

Never had issues. Fogs are not a Requirement for inspection I imagine in any state so you should be good.

They aren't a requirement in Virginia but if you have them then they need to work and be SAE compliant

Maybe a random question here but, looking to get a pair of the SAE to upgrade my oem fogs.

Does anyone know the specs on the screws used to hold the lens on? Would really like to find some black ones to replace the stainless.

Wish someone made a bracket to mount LP6 / LP4 up front without having to have a steel bumper .
