Not the way because even though you know that it’s eventually going to happen they will allow it to happen when they want it to happen. And because they know when it will happen any options you buy will already be priced appropriately.

So i sold puts on RIDE and was up 3K (then WKHS didn't get the USPS contract and shit blew up, or sold off hard)...i was managing the puts by rolling 'em, but it got to be way out into Dec. I was up again 2500 for the run up to 15...and then basically they announced they're going bankrupt...got fucked again. I dumped them on the drop and broke even, but overall net loss.
The upshot of all of this is that those puts were the last thing keeping my Robinhood account open as I didn't want to transfer and get caught on some crazy price action. Now that they're closed out. I've initiated the complete account transfer to TDA.
