Hey just wanted to update you. I decided to go all in, spent a little more than I should have lol.

I went with revtek’s new 905A 3”/1.5” suspension lift kit.
It comes with new shocks and suspension, front SPC adjustable control arms, rear add-a-leaf and rear suspension. Basically everything I need. Has great reviews by some folks at the shop who were also there shopping for the wheel and tire deals that are going on right now.

And I went with 265/75/16 KO2’s on some 16” Method wheels. When the parts arrive at the 4 Wheel Parts store I’ll get it installed same day and post pictures.

Hopefully you were right about me not feeling too much with these wheels. Everyone at the shop told me they wouldn’t want me to leave unhappy and said that my truck shouldn’t feel much more of a dog than it already does now. So I have my fingers crossed

 

You went with a really nice set up, pretty sure its gonna look sweet. Are the KO2s E rated? Theyre gonna be heavier and a little more ruff than my P rated Falken Wildpeaks so you’ll experience some more power and mpg loss than i did but those kO2s will look really nice. I really wanted KO2s at first but price and the fact that it was only available in E rated 10 ply made me but the Falkens.

 

Second gen. I had a 2013 ac at 2.7 with 2.5” lift full skids, sliders, plate bumper with 255/80/17’s e rated. The truck did great not even bad n the mtns until.....i put some kind of trailer behind it towing killed it.


Edit: i did install the lce header and afe drop in filter and did the secondary filter delete mod all this helped a bit on the lower end

Check other threads, they will as long as you don’t go wider than 255’s. Stay 235-245 preferably

 

I told them I wanted to go p rated but we ended up finding the best deal on the KO2’s. I’ll be driving up to Washington state on I5 in December so I’ll really get to try it out on the hills and see if I notice any power loss compared to last time I drove it up there stock.

I’m hoping that I will not feel much more than you did. We will see! If it’s unbearable I can try a lighter tire

 

I got a killer deal on KO2’s at 265/75/16. If I notice a crazy drop in power on the hills I’ll most likely switch to a skinnier before regearing. Wish me luck, hopefully they will not be too heavy.

 

I loved that little truck but it just didn’t do what i wanted. So now the truck in my sig ‘15 dcsb v6 6mt

 

Do you think I should call in the morning and get them to change me to a different brand 265/75 where I can get a P or a C rated? Do you think I’ll struggle on freeway speed uphill grades with the E rated? I don’t think it’s too late to change, but you’re right the KO2’s look sick on Tacoma’s. But I definitely don’t want to lose a ton of power and not be able to get up hills.

I actually have a 2021 TRD off-road now, v6 6 speed manual. I am keeping it stock, however went to 265/75/16 all terrains in an E load. I went this route because I couldn’t find a stock sized all terrain in an e load, Only passenger rated. so I stepped up to the 265/75’s and I don’t notice any difference on that.

 

Yeah I was thinking falken wildpeaks 265/75/r16 in the p rated version or the c. I have an 09 5 speed Manuel. You did the e? That would be heavy for a 2.7. was yours a Manuel?

 

What would you recommend? Staying at 265/70/r16 or 265/75/r16. Running the basic good year kevlars rn. Want something agressive a d better looking that perform better. I drive 15-20 k a year in this truck
