    Question
I’m running 235/85s and do wanna upgrade on my second set of rims. Can 255/85 and 285/75 fit without adjusting the alignment, don’t wanna adjust it cuse my 33s would only be for off roading

Heavy stuff big tires drives like hell
Changing tire size does not affect alignment. Now changing tire size will require making clearance so the tires don't rub, aka cab mount chop, pinch weld pounding, etc

That gives me a lot of hope that we'll get 255/85/16 when they release those sizes this fall.

Looks pretty promising to me, besides loving the looks of skinnies, the clearance benefits alone seem like reason enough to run them over a wider tire

Have a set on the way. Probably won’t be able to install till late next week.
Moving from 285/75R17. Having to warranty one tire. Pro rating the rest.

Nice! A bit taller and a bit narrower, should be perfect!

They looked good on the FJ above, not too narrow :)

Got my spare mounted&balanced today. In case anyone is wondering/looking for info on it, yes a 255/75/17 fits underneath with no modifications.

I just went to Cooper's website. Not only does it look like they have discontinued the ST Maxx but they have also done away with the 255/85R16 and the 255/80R17 sizes. That's unfortunate.

There was another post about that in a thread about Cooper's new 285s. Somebody contacted Cooper CS last week, and they responded that the tires aren't discontinued and that it's a temporary problem with the website.

We can confirm this is accurate, the 255/85R16 and 255/80R17 are not discontinued and there was simply and issue on Coopers end. Unfortunately both options are on a nationwide backorder however will be available again in the future.
