I have a 2018 Tacoma I bought new it has 34k miles. I have been battling water leaks since new. I have sealed all holes with calking and under the bed rails also. Have spent over $200 on molding to stop water. Still comes in. It’s a 3 fold hard cover it also leaks on the fold seams. Toyota says they all leak. This is Bull S$&T. I could have spent way less and not had any leaks. Toyota service says it’s an excessive amount of water getting in. They were going to replace the cover now they say no. This sucks how many others have had a problem with their Toyota cover, and what did Toyota do?

When I had one it never leaked and it parked outside uncovered. Is it installed correctly and do the connections click when you push down on them?

Yes have made sure it clicks twice. Even took out the latch spacers to have a tighter fit. Still leaks.

Call corporate. Set up a case with them. Let them investigate and be kind & patient. Nothing else you can do unless you just toss the cover away and buy another brand on your own dime.

Mine has leaked, like there is no cover at all since new. Total piece of crap. I keep everything in Rubbermaid totes.

Mine leaks worse, just sitting/parked in the rain. More then driving in rain, or better yet touchless carwash. Doesn't make sense, I tried everything, to correct. Dealer tried also. Gave up. Another 8 months it's gone, time for a new one. No OEM cover...

Also wondering, I have heard more complaints of LB cover leaking or SB cover leaking. Assuming larger panels, not sealing as well as smaller panels. Who knows....

Mine has always leaked. Especially when the snow has built up on top of the cover and melts. Get a bed matt, I've found the water always goes under the matt and not on top so whatever is on the matt stays pretty dry.

Rule of thumb though, don't store anything in your bed, with or without a bed cover if you don't want it to get wet.

Update. I took mine off with all brackets and installed a Tyler T1 roll up. $169 on Amazon 15 min install looks better and will keep out the water. Shame on you Toyota fo selling crap covers for $650.

Mine was installed day 1, and it doesn't leak at all. I park outside and it snows a lot here, and even the snow doesn't melt inside. Like, it's seriously bone dry.

I do have a bed mat, so I guess the water could but going under the mat, in to the channels?

Mines always leaked pretty bad. Dealer replaced the soft glued down seals over the hinges twice (it kept peeling up) when it peeled again they told me it was normal. Agree with the poster above, absurd they charge $600 for a leaky cover. I find i actually get a lot of road spray through the top of the fender on the left side where it meets the inner bed material. Toyota literally said its normal.

Toyota says far too many of their poorly engineered items on this truck are “normal”

quick question for you guys though — i recently had some body work done, and now noticed this huge gap. Is the front of the bed higher than the sides on yours?

Mine leaks as well. The towels on my golf bag as always soaked after a rain but I guess that's a pretty minor problem to have.

So if we try to repair the leaks ourselves, does it void the warranty?

I’m convinced any and every cover out there will leak. These covers are made for looks and to keep your belongings dryer than having nothing on it. That’s it.

You are correct. The truck outfitter I use for my work trucks, will not order, sell, or install a cover without customer signing a sheet acknowledging they're not water tight. He said they did this because they were buying so many back (to keep customer happy) because people assumed they wouldn't get ANY leaks.

I get some water in mine through the tailgate but its very little if any, Doesn't leak anywhere else. Mine is in the garage, no car washes and its been a great cover. To me its the best looking cover, but I don't keep things in the bed.
