I ended up buying one

 

Removed the spoiler from the dry fit and added RTV and wired up the 3rd light. Not bad for an eBay special.

 

That’s probably the proper way, I’m just cheap, when it comes to non functional stuff

 

The grill was surprisingly cheap actually.

 

nice, I used duplicolor when I first did my Tacoma front. if you treat it right you cant tell. if you add a clear and wet and it base and clear it matches almost perfectly.

 

Nice, next up for duplicolor is the wheels I’ll going bronze and taking my time with primer and paint and clear coat hope it turns out well.

you take your time it will. I did 7 coats of each with wet sand and it was awesome.

 

Maternity Photo Shoot/Get To try out the RTT on the 4runner

How did we get here:

Wife wanted maternity photos, sister in law is a photographer and just bought a camping trailer and wanted to test it out.

So just shared some photos of the Eastern Sierras and it was all set, crafted one more camping trip before the baby pops out.

If I had wood working skills, I'd build a slide out drawer system in the back.

I use Frontrunner boxes in the back next to an ice chest; keeps everything organized and packed neatly, but a drawer system would allow me to leave some things in the truck all the time.

 

I feel you I’ve been using Home Depot boxes (worked great in the truck) but with the lift gate and enclosed rear end I’m leaning more to a fridge and drawer system.

I can work wood but strength is in fab, so I’m thinking a minimalistic steel frame with riv-nuts to hold drawer slides and possible side panel assemblies. So far just thinking one larger drawer with a lower profile drawer for a fridge to sit on top. Main focus is function and to hold all my goodies, no sold plans of yet.

for sure will need new springs to hold the additional weight, it would be great to compare the 4runner and Gx and make it compatible for both.
