You know. I actually just looked at the estimate he emailed me and there was a few things he didn't tell me about on the phone. So yeah, it's $427. Bastard! I'm still going to let them do it.

Ok...some of ya'll need to get different avatars. I'm looking at you, @BamaTaco56 and @crashdb! Scrolling through this page and looking at the avatar out of the corner of my eye made for some very confusing reading. :help::smash:

Unfortunately they have 700 lb coils on them so I asked JD if they could send me some 600 lb coils and I’ll mail them these coils back. currently running 600 lb coils on my kings.

haha, that sounds more like it! He was just giving you a rough labor price that didn’t include materials. They do good work though, can’t go wrong with it.

Curious, did they quote you at a full gallon of oil for the coilover rebuild?

They really are. I'm still going to move forward with the install and will swap coils whenever they arrive.

Talk about a swift resolution. Harry from JD just called me and is going to have some 600 lb coils drop-shipped from King to me. Being such a lightweight spring, he recommended going with an 18" long coil (vs 16") so I can have a nice ride height without a bunch of preload.

I saw these and was torn to sell my reinforced knuckles and going with these. However, knowing me they would just sit and be a waste.

Thinking I'll hang onto my stockers, rock the normal reinforced knuckles and then upgrade down the road. Who knows, if I get that glue gun and start teaching myself, I can get these glued up myself.

    Dammit, TW...

Seeing what your lowers looked like, the heimed tie rod ends would probably live a short life. I think you made the right call.

    Dry heat. A good option.
