@daveeasa hooked me up with a head unit, so I took some measurements.

Without too much thought I came up with this. Dowel pin the copolymer ring in place as well as a 3D printed connector all in one shot. Although, I would probably make up jigs to drill each component separately. Nylon is more flexible and not as rigid as ABS, so I am assuming the stock clip dimensions shouldn't need to be altered for adequate flexibility. Then again, it might ... we'll see.

edit: the outer ball shape isn't set in stone (just having fun with my signature look) ... still have no idea what will be offered in the end. It can be anything really, but will obviously have to be limited for production.

Also, update on the 9 remaining shift knobs. Had a setback this weekend and wasn't able to ready them for ship today. I will post a picture later when back in the shop. Top engravings are finished, V2 collars are made up, but not engraved yet.

It looks like the old nurseries in hospitals. Everyone stands around, slapping each other on the chest, “that ones mine”. Let’s go smoke a cigar.

I haven't yet, but there were multiple discussions (via PM) on the matter. In fact, I was expecting two 1st Gen orders to come in this last batch, but all of the available spots sold out to 2nd and 3rd Gen owners. I am open to it, just haven't had the opportunity to make one yet.

Had some fun with Sharpies this evening!
    20210621_195748.jpg

The ultra fine point markers worked out great with the trace engraving! Hopefully it holds up for a while - although it'll be easy to touch up when needed.

Even got the grip collar pins while I was at it. :p Maybe a bit overboard... but it makes them blend in a bit more.

Just attacked the boot collar ring with some metallic silver Sharpie! Again, it was very easy... just dab it on, rub off the excess, and the ink stays in the engraving!

Okay, so these radio knob clips worked on the first shot. Obviously pleased with myself here.

Looks good. That and the stitching really tie it all together.
