Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

Eh. It happens. I finally made it where I was going but everyone was gone from the rental place and they'd given away my car. I had to make an impromptu hotel reservation and get a car in the morning. Heading home today, instead of Saturday, since yesterday's work went to shit.

One major positive is the warning (instead of ticket) the State Trooper gave me for 90 in a 75.

When everything goes smoothly it's fine. The last few flights though have been a shit show.

Very true. I learned that at my last job as a CIV employee for the Navy.

My first thought was a rotary switch, but Rahl's suggestion makes sense given the numbering around the outside.

I need to get a working security camera system for the house shop, we don't have one at the work shop either. We do have one at the store though and one camera points towards our house.

You can set time frames for when you want to be alerted - I don't need to know that there's motion in my basement on a Saturday afternoon because a kid walked through. Free service unless you want to keep motion detected footage for longer than 36 hours but you can download clips and keep them.

This camera has since been moved because it doesn't shoot through glass when it goes into night vision mode but this clip has always made me laugh. Might take a few watches to catch it all.

I'm in the same boat of needing to get something. With how much I'm gone for work, it just makes sense. I've looked at the Simply Safe stuff but another subscription fee isn't appealing.

 

I heard you don’t need a subscription.

 

The one we have in the store is hooked up to the internet, my wife and I can pull up any of the 8 cameras at any time and watch it and it doesn't cost anything. It's a Lorex system we got from Sam's for less than $400

 

Never thought I needed one until now. City Free give a way weekends has brought out the worse in Folks. Now anythin’ not bolted down is fair game. Pulled a complete system outta a place slated for Demo. Guess I’ll see how it all hooks up right soon.

It didn't come with a screen, we used our old one. You could get a cheap small TV probably.

I lucked out and found a metric tap that's correct size/pitch as factory bolt that hold the Tacoma E-brake cable. Made a couple of brackets where it will attach now. How it works as theres sometimes a little doubt when I tape measure guess on a scratch paper.

 

Just remember...security camera footage of wanna be burglars can be used by BOTH sides in court
