Ordered some bilstein 5100s a couple weeks ago. Apparently the fronts are backordered but the rears showed up yesterday without any heads up. Hope the fronts do the same soon.

I'm going to set them up at the mid lift point and just keep my stock sized ATs just to give a little body clearance. AAL for the rear.

Does anyone have recommendations for a good service dealer in the chicago south suburbs? So far I have not been impressed with orland toyota or romeoville toyota. Thinking of giving the dealer in bourbonnais (david bruce toyota) a try. Its a bit of a drive though like 35 minutes. Had a coworker recommend them before and bought my extended warranty there (by far the lowest for a 10/125k platinum). Curious if anyone has any thoughts. Will likely take it there and report back on experience. Just getting an oil change done but would like to do all my service at one dealership to build a relationship

Being that I work for a dealer here on the indiana side, yea good dealers are hard to come by. There’s stories from all of them.

Any recommendations for finding one? Just go based on feel and how they treat you?

Pretty much. I know where I work people are rubbed wrong and never come back. Most places there’s good techs. It’s just everything else around it that can be the issue.

Best to become “friends” with a tech. You usually will get better treatment

Soo I bought another 1st gen. If any of you happen to go through junkyards or the such. I’m looking for a decent tailgate and a set of solid rockers to save the body on this truck. It’ll be getting my 01s old frame when it’s on it’s new one.

Update: david bruce toyota was kinda good kinda bad. The good: the service rep was quick and helpful, the bad, they chipped one of my wheels kinda good doing a rotation( looks like they hit the lug hole while the tool was still spinning?) They are the factory metallic gray alloy wheels, and i have touch up paint for that, so i didnt say anything, but damn, why cant it ever be simple lol. As detail oriented as I am, not sure if I will head back

Probably not using protected sockets. It’s all I use because otherwise you have a very high likely hood of damaging the finish

I live right around the corner from David Bruce. Had very bad experience with the sale team when I was looking for a tacoma. And when looking for a camery for my wife. The service side was ok they did "forget" a few things when working on my wife's camery. It's all under new ownership now so hopefully it changes for the better

[IMG] Any of you local boys interested in this thing for $250 going to try and clean it up a bit better. But I can’t bring myself to modify it to fit the tundra.

came off a 2017 taco my cousin had.
