I'd probably keep it, it may be a couple years before the chip manufacturers catch up and auto prices find their new norm.
Same shit is going nationwide with housing right now due to the cost of materials. My house is worth 100K more than it was a year ago, but it would cost me that much more to buy another one.
    It's all a wash..

The used market will surely settle down, 6 months max. Pocket the money now, buy a new one in a year for the same price.

I think most of the things we buy will be more expensive till the 3rd world countries have access to the vaccines. It may be years.

My 2017 TRD Off Road will have cost me $2k in depreciation for 40k miles. The unfortunate thing is the best trade in value I’ve gotten so far has been from GM dealers. I was excited to get a Tundra but the toyota dealer is offering me $3k less and the Tundra is packed with overpriced and unwanted dealer installed options. The other Toyota dealer near me is charging an extra $10k as a “market adjustment” on top of their $700 pin striping, $300 glass etching, $1000 running boards and $300 hood deflector.

I’ll second what others have said here though, the GMC dealer told me flat out that the offer does not take into consideration my aftermarket additions, so most of them are coming off the truck and going up on craigslist.

As far as the sales tax, at least in PA/NJ, I paid the tax on my $37,000 truck when new so, since I’m trading in, they take the $35,000 trade value off the new truck cost when determining the sales tax on the new truck, so very little loss there too.

Turned down 40k yesterday for our 2018 sr5 4x4 55,000 miles (many add ons). Paid 33k new . Probably gonna regret it but screw not having the truck for year or more (till all EV is available). If I needed the money maybe yes but Wtf am I gonna do with more Monopoly money ?

    seriously shit is retarded .

I didn't know how much I liked this truck till I tuned down the deal of a life time. Now I take back all my posts about shitty transmission and weak frames and crummy paint. You can't beat a teeyota tacoma . Didn't you dummies see that top gear episode about that Toyota truck?

What ever man , have fun "investing" in Gamestop stocks or what ever BS. Till this day nothing beats offroading/camping/beating the truck out in the desert. Power boat, lame , gets boring need a small army to take care of . Track car.. wack , get speeding tickets. Sport bike / dirt bike...fun but kids will grow up orphans lol.
