Installed the Carlinkit 2.0 for wireless CarPlay! So far I'm pretty impressed. Start up takes about 30 seconds, which is about the same as it takes to get the wired version started... The audio quality so far sounds about the same as wired too. It took about 2 minutes to install. It's super easy to check for updates and mine shipped with the most current version. For now it's attached under the lower switch panel with command strips, but I'll probably reroute it behind the dash somewhere once it's proven reliable (and assuming MESO has lower switch panels in again...). It's actually less intrusive looking there than I assumed. For now.

    A bunch of shit...
20210614_181738.jpg 20210614_194651.jpgYesterday, but I loaded up the neighbor's kayaks and took the kids down to the bay for a few hours. She's alway worried about them getting scratched up, so we took precautions.

By the way, an 80 pound kid getting dragged behind the kayak makes it really difficult to paddle, especially up wind. Little shit needs her own kayak.

Today, we washed 'er up just to go head up to the mountain trails tomorrow and get dirty all over again.

Yeah been there. Lol I’m not sure what’s worse one being dragged or one a year older “trying” to help.

Car wash and some tire shine. Love that stuff. Even a Yugo with tire shine on its doughnuts looks good.
Kane is in there too, waiting for a ride in the truck.20210615_172645.jpg 20210615_172633.jpg 20210615_172647.jpg

Yes, the only way to make it work without drilling is to have the lock going through the corner tie down hole.

if you attach it to this area it will face the cooler diagonal in the bed. I did it this was at first because I was afraid to drill into the bed. It wasn’t ideal. Then I sucked it up and realized there are so many other holes drilled in the bed to begin with. An extra drain hole won’t hurt.

It’s not much but last week I painted the bolts and washers for my unistrut roof rack to match my colour scheme and finally got around to installing them. It’s all in the details!

Had this pro shift knob from meso for sometime now...finally installed it with the ect button relocate. Now I gotta find something for that other switch. Install was easy...just don't do get those forearms pumped at the gym so you can fish those connection from the boot. IMG_20210615_170904.jpg

I tried putting mine in the console and it wouldn't work. That would be the perfect place for it though! But I have the same report - easy to install and works as well as wired.
