Cheaper bed rail?

    Hey, I have a 6’ bed on the back of a 2018 trd off-road Tacoma. I was driving in the highway when the bed rail cap flew off, and I went to the dealership in hope to find a bed rail cap since I can’t find any on the internet, and they want $220 for 1 cap rail. Anywhere else I can look to find one?

    Lol I have a used truck and the whole bed was kinda iffy, they were loose originally. Didn’t think they were that loose to pop off on the highway.

    Considering the trouble I had getting mine off (to seal underneath), yours must have had most of the clips already broken off. If so, small loss. Find a late model Tacoma in a junk yard and get them from there.

    BTW, looking at your picture, I see that most of the holes for the clips, in the sheet metal, are plugged up or Bondoed over. This tells me that the previous owner broke the clips off deliberately. He wanted to seal the tops of the bed sides, probably because he was installing a camper shell. If so, it didn't matter if the bed caps were loose, because they would have been sandwiched between the bed sides and the camper shell.

    It would be nice if things like this were disclosed to the buyer, before the next sale. I think you got taken on this.

    minor, TRD skid plate, front recovery points, Regken mud flaps, rear diff breather, AC drain pipe extended. Upgraded sound with active sub woofer, tonneau cover, CB radio.
    Check junkyards. Parting-out Tacos can be a good donors for you...
