    Good morning everyone!!

Cut grass yesterday morning and started to demo the trim on the mower garage. We're going to re-skin that building with the same material that's going on the greenhouse now.

Zero Turn is ready for pick up so I'll take the garden tractor in for a service when I pick it up this morning.

    Stay safe out there!!

Good morning all. Yesterday was a productive one. Finished all I wanted to do plus got rid of a lot of stuff I no longer needed. Facebook Marketplace and the online Bowie yard sale made for a quick disappearance for a lot of items. Day number two coming up today but first I need to make a BJ's club run. I was surprised at how much stuff I was able to get rid of.

    Morning all:
Happy birthday to Carol Mike, may she have many more!

Looking at the lawn yesterday, I just mowed and it looks like it looks like it's time to mow again. We are getting just enough rain, and it's hot enough, seems like the grass is in super grow mode right now!

    Morning all !!
Yesterday my wife and I played 9 holes. I absolutely enjoy golfing w/her...I'm thinking how to say this without sounding mean...she's so serious but really is bad. Yes, she enjoys going but gets so worked up...it's quite funny.
I did learn a few things from her...there are apparently 3 things in golf that do exist...1st, do over. That's when she hits a shot and doesn't like it...she says..."do over"...I guess that's like a mulligan:)
2nd..."that doesn't count"!! I have all I can do to try to keep my laugh to a minimum! Oh God, it's so fun!!!
3rd, apparently you can just pick up your ball and give yourself double of what the par is for a hole!!
We both just laugh!!! Wouldn't change anything in the world for it!!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porchies! Used the saw to cut down that bush, and got stung - far as I went. Get after enough of the roots to matter today, and in this heat, that's probably all. I don't have to rush this project anyway! LBR is all serviced and the warnings are a thing of the past!

I'm on a 6 day mowing schedule, and could easily do more. But I think our rain has slowed enough....

I'm going to remember that Harry, because my wife mentioned she "said she would play"! I just got some new golf shoes from Academy Sports on-line, but they are 3 sizes smaller than ordered. I could have got the wrong size in the store! My old ones are about 18 years old and too small.... But like someone once said; "I shoot in the 80's - any hotter than that, and I won't play!"

What is this mowing thing you speak of? There’s a fellow comes by now and then. He makes a lot of noise. Usually interrupts my nap. My grass never seems to grow even though I water regularly. I must be doing it wrong / right.

    Good Morning.

The driveway and back patio is done.

It was 200' of pothole paved caliche. My wife is a happy camper.

The back deck was 16' x 20' wooden with too many critters getting under it driving the dogs crazy (who ripped up the 20-year-old deck) so torn out and replaced with a critter-free slab. I let snakes be, but had a rattler move in one time. 9mm snake shot dispatched it.

Landscapers are here the help clean out front gardens. They think I am one crazy guy as I using my pushmower to mow the front yard (200' x 200'). It's been so wet the riding just tears up the lawn, hence the push mower and getting in about two miles of walking. Good, if not crazy, exercise. Ya, I really need to downsize or buy a helicopter to park out front!

Same down here cept it's weekly. Lots of clover this year as the nice crabgrass didn't kick in yet.

I have about 250' of hedges that get cut about 4 times a season.
I'm already close to cutting them for a third time this year. :bananadead:

Fabulous day so far. We left the northern sacramento valley this morning to get away from the heat wave (110 degrees). Headed up into the Sierras to stay cool for a few days. We are at 8000 feet at our “secret “ little mountain hideaway on this beautiful lake. Cool 70 degrees here. This afternoon we drove down the mountain into Gardnerville, Nevada for a Basque dinner. Basque like in the Basque area in Spain. I think you mostly find Basque food here out West. You order your main dish from about 8 or 10 selections such as lamb chops, lamb shoulder, beef (steaks), chicken and so on. Before the main dish they bring you (by the large bowl, it family style) soup, salad, lamb stew, spicy bean cooked in a crockery pot all day, crusty warm bread and a couple other things I can’t remember. And dinner includes a bottle of hardy red wine. Finally dessert. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is fun and gregarious. Love Basque style restaurants. Now it’s back to the cool mountains and all their beauty. Here’s a pic of our lake, and the parking lot at the Basque restaurant.Note there is still a little snow on the higher peaks. Tomorrow I catch trout. Well I try at least.

    Good morning, everyone!

I'm on about a 7 day cutting cycle here - probably could go with 5 days in this wet/cool weather cycle we've had. I enjoy it - it's time to do nothing but listen to music and think about nothing.

The contractor is back working on the greenhouse. Doing a lot of fixing what should have been done in the first place like flashing that my father-in-law didn't do. I'm going to demo the siding on the lawn mower garage this morning so he can side it with the same stuff we're putting on the greenhouse. We're making progress.

Speaking of mowing, I got my Zero Turn back yesterday - they put the wrong blades on when it was in for service and it took 10 days for the replacements to arrive - normally a 2 day delivery. So, I took the Garden Tractor in to have it serviced when I brought the Zero Turn home.

Good morning. I am on track to have the garage cleaned and reorganized by the end of day on Thursday. I have been able to give a lot of stuff away rather than send it to the dump.

Today is the first day of music lessons for the summer schedule. I have progressed to the intermediate class on Wednesday's. I also have to pick up a box of peaches from the peach truck after the lessons. This is the first time I have ordered any food in advance and picked it up in a parking lot. LOL Seems legit so I am looking forward to some fresh peaches.

    Good Morning Folks :hattip:.

Beautiful picture Ken. Good luck feeding the fish and enjoy the dining. Love going to a restaurant that serves food from the old country. Last Spanish restaurant we ate at the food was excellent (had the lamb stew) and they gave the table a pitcher of homemade Sangria . Enjoy the rest of your mountain stay Ken.

Grass cutting life just got better for you Mark (with the zero turn back.) It surely will make your life easier. My son and DIL were up at our place and he spent what time he could mowing the grass around the house and range. With all the rain and not getting up there that often it grows fast. Demo day on the tractor shed siding. It will look nice when it's done.

Tomorrow is new knee day so I'll be quiet for a few days. Waiting for the call as to when I need to be there. Hope it's in the morning so there is a possibility of them sending me home in the afternoon.
Have a great day folks and be safe.
