I'd say the Green Bean is just about broken in by now.

 

Howdy howdy. Day three of driving the truck to work and back, uneventful so far. I did stop by an auto body shop yesterday to get a quote for having the fender fixed. They said $600 to fill the hole and repaint it. They were also courteous enough to notice my buggered bed sides and said they'd do those and the front fender for the low price of $3500...

 

Can you get a new/used fender instead of repairing the old one? Cuts cost of repairing the old fender.

I doubt it. Black mica non flared 2nd gen front passenger fender in New England? Without rust? For under 600? I've pretty much come to terms with the fact that I'll spend a good chunk of change to have the antenna hole shaved and the fender repainted. Just going to shop around and try to find a shop a bit cheaper. as for the the bedsides... those are impossible to find up here. And they're 800 a side not painted if you buy new.

 

I'm guessing, trying to find a junkyard whole bed in good shape is nearly impossible.

I'm going to see if I can find the info for you of a junkyard in California where they have cheap prices on parts and shipping isn't bad. My neighbor buys from them all the time and he's a penny pincher.
