All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Wow, looks like a spear tip:)

Hey guys, anyone have a good rec. for a good sheath for the Esee 4? Not a fan of the plastic one that came with it. I clip it to the cup holder area on the inside of the driver's door so a clip that would work well there would be nice.

Picked up couple spyderco pm2 in Maxamet, factory 2nds at Blade show. This one had small burr on the blade rubbing on scale just outside the washer, touch with dremel fixed it. Lynch clip 20210614_124105.jpg

I do not have one from Nepal but I do have the Tops version. A little heavy, bad for carrying, good for chopping. For me it's more of a niche thing, fun, but not practical for my uses. In the right circumstances and with someone who is familiar with its ins and outs I imagine it is quite a useful tool.

Been trying to add an edc knife for each day of the week. Not rushing it, just waiting till something catches my eye.
Added a new one last week from Bestech.

Honestly the fit and finish is on par with the the ZT's. But the action to me is better. The ZT's are a little tighter than I like. While the Bestech came just the way I like. While the blade will stay in any position. Just a little hand movement and it drop closes.

Hey knife enthusiasts! My girlfriends dad gave her one of her grandpas old knives from when he was a boyscout and it could use some love. I don’t think it’s a fancy knife but it has sentimental value. I would like to take it somewhere to get all the rust out and bring it back to life. Don’t know how to start my search for a place to take it so I’m looking for some guidance. If it helps I live in Los Angeles

I'm not sure I'd do much of anything to it before checking on the knife's value.

I checked online and they seem to go anywhere from $20 to $100 or so. I just want it to be in good condition and not so rusty. It really means a lot to her…

So it's not going to be easy to get take it apart to get it super cleaned since it's riveted together. What you can do is make a solution of water and vinegar open everything up and let it soak. Keep an eye on it. Then have a solution of baking soda and water on the side as soon as most of the rust is got swish it in the baking soda solution. Then run it under running water to rinse everything off. After you'll need somewhere warm to put it so it drys well. Hitting it with compressed air will be good (keyboard air bottle). Now you can get some oil like KPL, nanolube, fishing real oil and drop it at the pivots and work it in.
