Getting an alignment this afternoon, should I be specific about what they should do to give max clearance? Last alignment I was fine before, then rubbed real bad on the pinch weld after, and I'm back to no rubbing but visually out of spec.

Do you have the adjustable SPC UCAs?

Someone else with more suspension geometry knowledge needs to chime in here, but something about setting the SPC UCAs as forward as possible for clearance and then maxing out something as best as can be... or something.

3.5 degrees of caster is what it took to get rid of my rub.

To get max clearance at the rear, first set the LCAs cams to maximize clearance (max castor). Then use the adjustability on the UCA to get things into spec. Just remember that adding more castor at the LCA adds clearance at the rear, while adding castor at the UCA removes clearance.

I call B.S. If you work for a company that makes a metric S*** ton of money, they shouldn't be able to dock you just because you live somewhere slightly less expensive. This is just another way for them to maximize profit and the billion dollar CEO salaries.

100% he wants to maximize profits. However, if you were originally in the office and then told to wfh but now the office is open again, the company can require you to come back in. Assuming its safe and rules are being followed etc.

Isn't this counterpart to the "Californian's are driving up the cost of living in Colorado" conversation?

It's a lot more complex than just some people moving here with money. Economics is a complex subject and is typically responded to by emotions and psychological biases first.

Phew, I think I avoided getting into politics with that response.

Do you have an OVRLND camper?
I know @crolison had one at some point... I'm thinking of switching over from the wedge but have some questions first.

Meh, I don't think the topics are that far off or complex as you're saying, at least for sake of TW discussion.

Rich guy in New York doesn't want to pay out New York wages to remote employees now that the machine is ramping back up.

Colorado "Natives" are pissed because those same people from New York (California & also Texas as you referred to earlier in a separate response) are bringing their higher wages to the State and raising the cost of living.

Edit: I'm also not arguing or disagreeing with you if it reads that way. It is BS that someone would want to reduce wages for their remote employees.... but those same individuals took a gamble in deciding to move to a different state entirely during a pandemic, and under uncommon work circumstances at that. We all knew things would bounce back eventually - now we're living it.

I generally max out the caster if you have adjustable uppers!
