Somehow, in organizing the group buy and a couple of giveaways that were specific to TW, I ended up on the marketing email list for Jackery.

Back on track. I can sometimes get discount codes that are specifically for TacomaWorld members. If the product you want isn't on sale, you can always send me a PM and I can request a code if I don't already have one (currently have a code for the $20 off the E300 and $50 off E500). I sometimes get asked if I think a unit will go on a better sale than it is on currently.

So I figured it would be a good idea to "track" their deals and sales so everyone will have the same data and can make an educated decision on when is the right time for them to purchase. So....in reviewing the Black Friday webpage, there seem to be some discrepancies between what they have listed and what the email I received said. Mainly, there are more products listed on the website, and some of the dates don't line up. For instance, on the website, it lists the Solar Generator 1000 as running from Friday through Sunday (11/28) and the email I received said that it would run through Monday (11/29).

I have not. I thought about that as I was putting this together. I'll reach out again and see if I can get one.

 

I had asked about the solar panel in the other thread. I moved on and pulled the trigger. Costco had a good deal on an Ecoflow 160w panel for the same price as the Jackery 100w panel. I figured the extra wattage would come in handy.

Is that compatible with Jackery products?

 

My guess is yes. You'll likely need to purchase a separate MC4 to 8mm adapter to plug it in, but it should work.

The efficiency of that panel is around 22% and IIRC the Jackery is closer to 28%. Forgive me if those numbers are wrong, I did not look it up just now. But I don't think you really care about the efficiency if the output is higher. Just something to consider.

The Jackery should accept any 12v panel input via the 8mm connector.

Yes, an MC4 to 8 mm adapter would be needed. About $20 on Amazon. The Jackery is only 23% efficient per their website specs.

At the same time I got the Ecoflow panels, Costco also had the Ecoflow River Pro which is a 720Wh battery for only $430. I got both. The battery's recharge time is ridiculous when plugged into a 120v outlet. That deal seems to have been short-lived as it's no longer on the website.

 

I got a response to the question about a code for the solar panels. No code due to upcoming Prime Day deals. Looks like they are going to be doing some pretty good deals for Prime Day...some of them are the best that I've seen. Prices will be valid 6/21 - 6/22/2021

My guess is that this is what most people will get. Seems like a pretty generic code.

AFAIK, the codes they gave me for $20 off E300 and $50 off E500 are still valid. If anyone wants either of them, send me a PM.

I might not catch them all, but this should give folks a good idea of how often they run sales (which seems to be pretty regularly at the time of this post) and for how much. I've noticed a pattern on some of them. For instance, I wouldn't pay more that $420 for the 500 or $230 for the E300.

 

Hello, do you know when is the next sale for Jackery? Is it by labor day perhaps?

 

I'd say with pretty high liklihood that they will have another before then. They tend to rotate which ones are on sale. Which one are you looking at?

 

I see. I am contemplating between e240 or e300. This is just for my laptop, phones and small portable fan while working in the back of my truck.

 

Between the 2, I'd go with the 300. It has 2 AC power ports and has more storage. I get about 24 hours on my E300 powering just my 12v fridge without any power input.

That said, wait until they do a $50 off the 300. I've got a coupon code for another $20, so you should be able to pick one up for about 230 shipped.
