Hey guys. I bought my 2020 Tacoma new from the dealer almost a year ago. Recently purchased the bed lights and went to install them. When I was installing them however, I ran into some issues.

My passenger side installed fine, however my driver side seems to be missing the harness.

The passenger light didn't work when I turned on my truck. I noticed that I am missing the switch that would turn it on and am assuming that is why it isn't working. If I get the switch, should all the wiring be there, or will I have to do further wiring? Is the dealer still responsible for these things or will I basically be told to go screw myself and pay for it? Thanks.

Interesting. What trim do you have? I didnt know that not all trims came with the bed light switch.

Not sure if all SR or access cabs have it?

OP pop out that black where the switch would be and see if there is any wiring. I don't think there is but there might be?

My truck is a TRD Sport Access Cab Manual Transmission 6 ft. Bed. I have the premium and technology package installed. Don't know if any of those would affect including/excluding the light.

I did find one harness that wasn't attached to anything and taped away. Is that the right one for that switch?IMG_20210616_162916.jpg IMG_20210616_162926.jpg
    EDIT:
There was also this black harness plugged into an empty space. IMG_20210616_163401.jpg

You are right about the switch but not about the relay. My AC already had the relay in place. It might depend on the trim level, though. Mine is a TRD.

Could very well be the trim as you stated. I stand corrected.

The harness is there (the one with the pink wire) but the connector seems to have broken off. You need to get a connector and splice the wires. (This is the sort of thing you can raid a junkyard for.)

That's what I figured. I contacted the dealer to see if they would replace it for me. In case that falls through, do you happen to know the part number?

I don't know that the connector alone is available from Toyota. You might have to buy the whole harness from them, which is obviously more than what you need. That's why I mentioned the junkyard. Get the connector with 3-4 inches of wire attached so that you can do the splice. Probably a couple of bucks.
