I have to smile at this. I had a two month wait to get what I wanted, and that was back in October - December before the current shortages.

All the dealer/port installed add-ons are a rip off in my book.

I prefer the Predator Steps over the Ovals.

Agreed, but let's not overlook the fact that they're added to the cost of the truck that can be financed over whatever term. This might appeal to people that think in terms of monthly payments. Short-term thinking, but, hey, the whole automotive industry is based on customers that think like that. It's the "living paycheck to paycheck" mentality.

You guys down south have way more packages/options.

The predator steps take away clearance, if that is an issue. The ovals on my last truck just got in the way and dirtied my pant legs. If I add anything it will be welded on sliders.

This took 3 months. Got an almost even trade for the 4R with 32K on the odo. Several options on this Taco. Wait for what you want. Oval step tubes, don't use them, nice addition. The basic $800 tech package will be a good fit, use you eye phone for nav and music.

When i ordered my 2020 i was able to split the difference with the dealer for those port add on's. You press them hard enough with cash, they will bend.

Not if you use them as a bargaining tool. I bought a Pro, so I had little to none haggling with the price. I did get a whole $500 off the sticker, but I got the Predator Steps for nothing and free installation.

When I got my wife’s RAV4, a friend works at a dealer and I got a lot of extras for at least 1/2 price (some I got at cost, plus 10% over, what the employees pay). I got $3000 off the sticker, 0% financing, and I was happy.

Personally I would hold out for the Nissan Frontier these trucks are so dam slow .I have a v6 manual off-road and drive it daily on the highway and street and at times it want to drive it off a cliff.

You said that you will be walking away with an even trade. Have they offered you a price on an extended warranty? Just curious. Dealers usually like to pull a fast one. I’d stick with a Toyota myself. Your next trade in offer could be shit if you unload a Nissan. In my opinion.

Don't get a Sport. Much more value in an Off Road for virtually the same price. You'll thank me later..
