Tire sizing

Hey, I have 2021 Tacoma limited with 265/60/18 Michelin passenger tires. I want to upgrade to bf Goodrich at/ko2 and found an amazing deal on a 265/70/18 set. Any idea if this increase in size will fit?

 

It will rub.

 

the new tire you want is 2” bigger. It might rub.

 

Radially the sidewall will increase by nearly 1 1/16" or nearly 2 1/8" in diameter.

Probably rub, but check your clearance with the current tires turned full right and full left. Pay attention to the shoulders of the tire and inner fender well.

 

265mm / 25.4 = 10.43” wide.
10.43 x .7 = 7.3” of sidewall.
7.3 x 2 = 14.6” for both parts of sidewall that make up diameter.
14.6” + 18” = 32.6” diameter

without a lift you’re gonna rub.
