There is no gap. There is rubber on the backside of the trim that seals it. Just the way that particular rack is designed. Works well enough.

Thanks. Lately she's been more of a driveway queen. Between Covid and now gas prices we've been driving the Civic more than I'd like to admit.

When you need to bring smoke machines for effect in photos because you are scared to drive the truck faster than 5 mph when off highway.
Did you just blow dust onto a wet truck to make it look dirty?

Oh god grab the fire extinguisher, it blew the motor from turning those big tires!
I thought fluorescent lights went in the shop, not the front of the truck?
Nice to see it has a loading progress bar behind the grille so everyone else can tell how long it takes to get to 60mph.
The Home Depot shelving makes a return, only this time it's carrying an oversized body bag.
Skid plates for when the shopping cart gets left infront of the truck, and you can't see it over the hood scoop with the lift.
I think somebody looked at the front of a Boston whaler and went "that would look good on the front of a Tacoma" and that's how the bumper was born.

I wonder the same thing about the people with it on their truck...

But honestly, Home Depot, Walmart, tru value, all their display shelving is this flimsy looking stuff just like those bed racks. I think @SR-71A has that same rack and he told me it was flimsy and he had to reinforce his. Could've called it "kiddies first shelving unit universal assembly rack" but it doesn't have the same feel to it.

Haha ok fair enough. The rack I have is from RA motorsports in Edmonton, AB. It's fairly rigid and I can rock my truck around with it. But yes I can see now how it kind of does look like that shelving haha

That wasn’t too bad :D- but the dust came from drifting the truck if that makes it any better

An older KB Voodoo, 18" tall version. Probably getting on 5 years old now. I think they have been redesigned to eliminate that issue I was seeing after 1000's of miles of back roads though.

You can see the fender washers where I added flat bar to reinforce

Love the rock grabbers instead of sliders. Do they get hung up on mall curbs?
