    That article seems to be designed to get you to start thinking in terms of "wealth tax" as opposed to "income tax".
    Be careful with that idea as I doubt any of us would benefit from an implemented "wealth tax".
    They also seem to take great joy in pointing out years some wealthy guy paid no tax. It would be fairer to look at the taxes they've paid over a lifetime.
    Say you were unemployed for most of 2021 but scored big (say 1million) on some meme stock and didn't sell in 2021. For that year, your wealth would've increased a whole bunch without you owing any taxes. If we didn't even look at the following year when you sold and paid a buttload of taxes, we could paint a nice picture of you as a greedy, wealthy prick who wasn't paying his share.

    FYI...everytime I Saw $CTRM I pointed out the real play is $CMRE...
