How long did you have to wait for your 2021 factory order?

I signed paperwork with agreed upon specs and locked in sales price prior to deposit and allocation.

 

My delivery estimate was just moved forward again. Was 21-28, now it's 18th - 21st. I may have it by this weekend!

Man I hope I'm not as well! But likely the case. Especially considering your deposit was close to 5mo before mine

 

I think the build specs have a lot to do with it. MT gonna wait longer it seems.

 

Ahh gotcha. IF anything slows my build it'll be because it's premium w/ tech but not the advanced tech. Almost everything but noooooot quite.

Just got called by my dealer that it arrived this evening - as he said 'It got here earlier than expected'.
As chance would have it I can't get it until Monday (21st) but he said don't worry it will give them a chance to really clean it up and look nice when I arrive.
My first - and likely last - new truck since 1984 (which was a red Toyota 4x4!) so since I've waited 37 years I guess I can wait 4 more days...

I got the estimated delivery shortly after my truck was built when I received the permanent VIN.

My 2021 TRD Sport DCSB 6MT arrived yesterday. Ordered mid-December, order accepted in March. Worth the wait!

 

Just reading through these posts, it definitely seems the wait depends on how unique your build is. I picked up my truck on Saturday and only had a 70 day wait from when I put my deposit down. However, I ordered basically a stock SR5 4x4 AT in Mag grey, $600 bsm tech package was the only addition. Sounds like if your getting a MT the wait is far longer right off the bat.

 

You all gotta remember, you aren't ordering a truck. You are giving your dealer specs on what you want and when a match is allocated to them, you get it. The dealer I ended up with gets something like 20-30 Tacomas a month. The small dealer closer to me gets about 6. It's a gamble on which dealer will be allocated a truck that matches your wants. In my case, I gambled and won. The smaller local dealer offered a 3% off MSRP discount but I'm getting a TRD OR Premium DCLB w/LED in Cement. Their June allocation had zero long beds. The dealer I went with charges MSRP but they had what I was looking for on their next allocation.

If delivery actually happens , I'll be a lucky one with deposit to delivery in only 30 days.
There is 30-60 days between allocation date and build date. Another 4 weeks or so once it's built to delivery. Of course, that depends on where you live. NE buyers have to wait a heck of a lot longer.
*edit I originally spoke with them 5/15 and they said they were marking vehicles up. They called me a week later (5/22) and offered MSRP if I would put down a deposit. I'm guessing since it didn't "pre sell" during that week, they figured a sticker deal was worth taking.

 

Got the call this morning.... The truck is at the dealership!!!
