My wife has the Pod Rocker by the same company and she loves it, but I don’t like that it has no armrests or cup holders. I am about due for a new chair, and thanks to you I think I may have found it!

Taking my uncle up to Leavitt Lake for his first off-roadish trip with his newly built up 4runner. I have never been up in those parts. Anyone have any heads up or tips about the area?

    dude I have no clue…

I called in November 2020 and earliest appointment was April for diagnosis for losing coolant. I already knew I had a cracked cylinder head but they wanted to run more tests. Guess my appointment I scheduled wasn’t for repairs but only diagnosis. I get a call in April 2021 that they found the problem (exactly what I told them) and that since I wanted an engine replacement I’d have to wait for the next available appointment which is November 2021. So all in all, from the moment I called them to the moment they begin working on it will be a full calendar year.

If they were any other shop, I’d have taken it elsewhere but they are the best shop I know of to handle this type of work at that price point…I called a local shop in the valley but they use crate engines from Oreilly for the same price so decided to just stick with Yota1.

    Thanks all!

I'm surprised with the backlog of the shops. Was all set on going to Yota1 but really can't have the truck out that long. I heard good things about CT Engineering in Sonora but they won't even take on any more work they are so backlogged.

Was starting to think I should just get a new/refurbished head, but Yota1 doesn't have any in stock and that was my top price point. I have a hard time trusting refurbished heads without strong recommendations......

    Thanks for the welcome!

Are you want to do the work removal and install and just get the head inspected/ possibly decked?

Did you try Bell and Gaines

Where did you guys go to re-gear? I’m looking at 529’s and curious the price in the valley.

Just got my truck fixed, it was in the shop for 5 weeks. Waiting for my C4hybrid bumper to come but the autobody did all the prep work for my bumper and built it into the repair. Can’t complain!BB800C03-9592-452E-8154-48A96336C4BD.jpgF2233BC1-598A-4366-A3DD-C295068943F2.jpg

I went with 4.56s on the highway I’m sitting at 2200 doing 65mph. I would like to move up to a 35 once my current set of tires are done.
Going to 5.29s what size tire are you planning on going with? I would call ECGS (east coast gear supply)and talk to them about it they will give you some recommendations.

    i went through ecgs.

4.56’s pertain more to 2nd gen, right? 3rd gen guys seem to land on 4.88’s for 33’s and 5.29’s for 35’s or heavy trucks. My truck is heavy all loaded up and hearing most guys like the 5.29’s. I’m probably running 33’s till my truck is no longer my DD then might bump up to 35’s

Is the Rear End Shop a good place locally to install?

I had my rear locker installed by them. They did good work and it was a good price. I have heard a lot of good things about them.
