My box from @El Cucuy arrived today. I brought it inside and told Kasey the wonder shepard to get ready for another Pede package search. She yelped and high tailed it for her kennel. No amount of threats or bribes could get her to come out and when I started to reach in to drag her out she indicated I would loose a hand if I persisted!


I decided it was a good time for Tomi the super lab to have a trial by fire to see if his training is progressing. I placed the box by the pool in case I needed to kick it into the water real quick as a safety measure. Tomi sniffed for explosives, biological threats and bacon (he always adds that last one in himself).


He looked back at me to indicate he detected a threat.


Next he indicated exactly how he thought I should respond to the threat. Either that or he was debating jumping in himself.


Feeling the threat was minimal (@El Cucuy is Air Force after all) I moved the box into my fortress of solitude for further inspection. First out of the box was a set of MOLLE seat backs and a genuine Toyota first aid kit. Tomi alerted on some of the pockets indicating something hidden...


I emptied the pockets and came up with all sorts of stuff. Too much to list here but some of the more interesting items were a slightly used mask, a bottle of hand sanitiser with about a tablespoon left in it, a random billiard ball and a set of keys to who knows what...


Looking back in the box I located some more goodies including a Blackhawk drop-leg holster with a Kimber 1911 sporting bone grips, a four year old Florida license plate, a calendar of Dogs Humping and some random family photos that @El Cucuy must have taken when he was younger. At this point I really needed a beer but since none was to be found in the box I went to get one.


When I returned with my beer I caught Tomi in the act! Good thing is, he may be more eager to help me examine future Pede boxes...

 

Whats the pool ball smell like? I've heard things about @El Cucuy
