Someone linked an ebay auction for an open box OEM TRD Skid plate for $250. Had to buy it of course. It came in yesterday, took off the T just to see how easy the letters come off (easily enough). Dropping it off at Line-X next week to get it done and already have new Cav Blue letter inserts on the way to me.

I don't want to line-x the bolts, so what are y'alls thoughts on the best way to get those things black? Sharpie black marker or something along those lines? I was thinking paint but I don't want it to chip/crack when actually tightening/loosening the bolts. Doesn't have to black color match tone 100% to the line-x black just don't want them to stick out like a sore thumb like they would if I just left them their current color.

Installing a Titan 15 gallon auxiliary fuel tank. It’s mounted, I just have to run the grounding strap so I don’t spark a fire. It covers the driver side cubby, however I have a compressor in there and don’t have to get to it. Fits tight, won’t fly if in a rollover, and very sturdy. No more jerrycans to deal with. 20% off code posted here:

Don’t mind the clutter, I had to throw everything in haphazardly to go get some hardware. I’m planning on building some shelving units next to it and there’s going to be a top shelf across the top of the tank behind the filler.

Buy it now price, after tax it was $250 and some change. It's an open box so there are some slight scuffs on it, but I was always planning on getting the skid plate line-x'd whenever I found one for a good price so it was a non-issue for me.

I've been wondering about that. Is removing the mud flaps still the think to do to Tacomas now? It was when I had my 1st and 2nd gen.

    Snail armor tailgate insert thing.
I wanted this only so i could put a thick peice of rubber over it. I dont want to kneel on this anymore than the stock tailgait insert. This will work better since it is so flat. Its nice when you buy a mod and it fits exactly how it should. Just like my SSO roof rack.

The shop that is installing mine told me today that their JL dealer said its 6-8 weeks out on them. They ordered mine 2 months ago and it just came in yesterday.

Where mine are positioned they stay at floor level below the dash. If the truck was running and you looked through the window, you would see the floor exactly as my picture shows it. I have my USB ports connected to a circuit that is only powered when the truck is on, so if the truck is off, so are the lights.

    Thanks man I appreciate it.

Unfortunately this means the bumpers are on hold for a little while, but that’s ok

I love them! I haven't put my tent on top yet, but I know I'll have line of site under it in the rear view mirror. I also like the basic bolt configuration of the frontrunner bars. No weird plastic parts. Just metal and well built.
