Frame Spray question

I’ve read a few threads on TW and am seeing some conflicting info.

I am seeing some threads that say the frame spray is done externally and guys have seen a terrible job done by the dealership. Then I’m seeing threads where they are only injecting it into the interior.

Has anyone had this done recently and know what’s up?

There’s a glob of threads on frame spray inside and out. Just searched and choose the one you like.

So before they would spray the whole frame and anything that was near it.
Now the new version is just internal up front and they apply what looks like seam seal at certain seams of the frame.

My 08 was done in 2018 and everything got the nasty black crap.
My 12 was done last year and only got internal and seams sealed.

They also install plugs in certain holes!!

sorry my frame was replaced in 18 on the 08 so maybe the 08 was done like 2015? I’d have to look!’
