That's not a good thing. I had the retaining pin slip out one time and the firing pin jammed up the bolt solid with one round in the barrel. Not a good day at the range.

Don’t forget to wear your eye pro and have a first aid kit in your range bag, I caught a piece of copper jacket from a 9mm ricocheting off the plate rack today from about 15 yards.
It bled more than I expected it too, once I stopped the bleeding I cleaned up my gear and drove to a buddy’s house where he used a knife to dig out the piece of jacket.

Because of my grip on the pistol it traveled just under the skin towards my fingernail, it was an interesting experience and I’m glad it wasn’t stuck in my oakleys, that really would’ve concerned me.

I’m not sure I understand the question, I wanted it cut out so it wouldn’t get infected as easily so my buddy just took his knife blade, found the edge of the copper and started cutting me open, he ended up using what looked like a tiny roll pin punch to dig it out once he had an incision made, you could hear the punch hit the copper when he was prying on it, it made a “tink”noise every time he hit it.

I’ve had this for a while, it was a lot of fun putting it all together. Just a PSA kit but it’s been pretty solid. Reliable enough to handle full days at the range and a couple of hardcore courses in NM, my knees quit first

Right after I finished assembling the kit.

Tried a scope, that was a little bit too big for my taste.

After I finally got some backup sights a red dot and switched to a vertical grip.

Mounting rings on the receiver and the handguard isn't a great idea, anyway. You need a proper mounting solution if you're going to have the optic that far forward.

Amateurs playing surgeon. Always guarantees a great outcome. Probably a greater chance of infection from the non sterile surgical implements than leaving it there. Not to mention a shot at tetanus.

594377FA-2387-4D35-8D1A-45BC78DC87E2.jpg Finally got to test this lil guy out- 250 rounds, no issues, love the weight, but like I've read a lot it needs a trigger- heavy first pull, after that pretty smooth.36247E48-DA39-407A-8853-7C72A833CAA5.jpg shot a mag at about 8 yards out, shot the center out pretty consistent.A875B66D-D6D7-47E3-8651-48A40674A083.jpg Moved back to about 15, still pretty consistent groups (yeah, a couple flyers)DD33DE04-3316-4404-A90E-9D34FFD50D14.jpg By the time I’d reloaded 5 mags a few times I was setting up a rhythm, bout a shot a second (range limit), I was really happy with the gun, and shooting 18 rounds a mag (19+1) is nice.

I know, that’s why I ditched it. It wasn’t meant for an AR platform anyhow, I just figured I’d see how it sat on there

I prefer the good old dot so far, though I’ll get something better than a grainy 40$ one eventually. Does the job for now, I haven’t had to reach out further than 200 yards with it.
I was not accurate at that range but I did still manage to actually hit the target. Once.

Nice gun. I bought a CZ over/under 12 gauge a couple years ago. It's been fantastic. I think a CZ hammer fired pistol is in my future.

I’m definitely an amateur but the buddy who’s house I went to has over 15 years experience between FF, EMS, and swat medic, he is experienced enough that I trust his judgement on what is able to be done at the kitchen table and what is a “go to urgent care” situation. He used isopropyl alcohol to sterilize the utensils and both spots where my skin was broken.

Unfortunately not, I think my buddy threw it in the trash, I didn’t even look at it.
