    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
    oh oh! good one! :deadhorse:

It's all Harry's fault, he totally should have cleared the schedule and shop to work on my basic build so I can get it into the dirt and appease the forums sooner.

I know my place and the time it takes to make these things happen. Build isn't done yet. If it were and it the truck was sitting in a barn waiting to be found in 20yrs, then roast me.:smack:

Love your build and all and it’s gonna be sick but you coulda been in the dirt months ago. If everyone in this forum was waiting for their truck to be “finished” before leaving the parking lot nobody would ever wheel at all.

At this point there may need to be a whole TW meetup just for the day your truck hits dirt. It would be fun.

First off let me say that the idea of creating a new lower arm that pushes the spindle pushed forward has been discussed in this thread but it’s hundreds of pages back so I understand if it was missed. The reason I won’t do it is simple math.

If you look at the cost of our LT vs just an upper arm set it will make a lot more sense. The majority of cost in the LT kit comes from the amount of labor required to build a proper lower arm along with the custom Uniball cups, uniballs, custom misalignment spacers etc. could I do them cheaper? Sure but the trade off would be squeaky bushings and loosing ground clearance with a more basic arm. And just because I can doesn’t mean I ever will. I care about one thing above all and that’s doing it right, not doing it for money. With every product made the number one question is will this make a Tacoma better? The next question is can I make it affordable. If these two questions can be answered yes then the product makes sense.

So with regards to the two questions above the answers are yes the lower arm would make a Tacoma better but no I can’t make it affordable and still do it right. $2500 for stock replacement lower arms makes no sense when you factor in that you still need an upper arm, coilovers, skid plates, gussets, tie rods etc and you still haven’t addressed the biggest problem which is the weak lower arm mounts and shitty OE can design. After all is said and done you will have $10k into a stock width setup that gets 9-10” travel.

On the contrary you can purchase the LCA kit for $1k especially when you consider most guys already have upper arms, coils etc. or if you already have an LT kit then the LCA kit is a perfect addition.

I also want to say guys like @kasnerd @Airdog @ovrlndkull are not fan boys but rather people I would consider my friends... they are chiming in as my buddies that have my back, not fan boys that drank some magic koolaid. While their delivers might not always be the nicest their intentions are in the right place and I appreciate that.

Above all I just want to make the best products for Tacoma’s that provide the most value. I will always also be 100% transparent with you guys even if you don’t like my answers. And I’m always here to answer questions and help steer you guys in the right direction

I told him to hold off on taking it in the dirt until the inner fenders we done so the truck could properly cycle the 35’s and not smash into the core support like everyone else’s trucks on here. So if you guys want to call anyone out please by all means call me out. @kasnerd is simply taking my advice which I appreciate because when his truck leaves the shop here next week I will have 100% confidence that it will be dialed and the tires won’t be ripping the core support apart like every other Tacoma I’ve seen

Harry pulled off some magic and hid it in the filter canister lol. I’m curious too! I didn’t notice it was missing at first.
